Seiben

A sticky situation

Seiben sat at the helm console of the Republic, and swiftly piloted the ship behind some moon. Hopefully, when the satellite makes its second orbit, it will not pick up the Republic's location. The satellite picking up the Republic a second time, would be very bad indeed. It sucks that the satellite picked up the Republic in the first place, diverting our attentions of thinking of a way to get home, to thinking of a way to cover our tracks. Thinks Seiben.

The crew reported back to their stations. Hopefully they thought of some good plans. Not being one to engage in hostile though primitive species, Seiben would very much like to put this occurance behind him, and get home. Seiben deactivates the thrusters and holds an orbit behind the moon. The satellite shouldn't be able to pick them up now. There was a brief period of calmness when nothing much happned. Seiben, being the Republic's helm and tactical officer, transferrs tactical to the helm console to keep an eye on the planet.

He briefly spaces out a little bit, and thought of his family again. He hoped his mother and sisters were re-settling into their lives on Mars after the terrorist attack there. According to the last time they talked, things were now just starting to get back to normal there. That pleased Seiben. he thought about other things, like how his cousin Hans was doing on the Arcadia, when his tactical console beeped. According to the console, the planet has launched sixteen warhead missiles at the moon the Republic is hiding behind. "Ahh, damn it!" said Seiben.

Though the missiles are very primitive and won't cause any damage to the Republic, the resulting explosion, could cause chunks of the moon to hit the ship, which could cause damage. The shockwave from the explosion will cause turblence as well. But what concerns Seiben the most is the possible signifigance of the moon. Such as light in the night and causing the tides in the planet's ocean, like the Earth's moon.

Seiben knows how catastrphoc it would be if the Earth's moon got blown up. Which leaves the crew with quite a situation. The sixteen warheads are closely packed together making an easy target, but blowing up the missiles probably will give the Republic's location and existance away, adding more "fuel to the fire". Seiben looks around for Blurox or Kbear. It's up to them to decide what to do next...
