"Begin recording,

 

After a brief visit by Admiral Atragon, my presence has been requested at Starbase 375. Apparently, with new rank comes a new position the Admiral didn't mention...holding the title as coordinator for fleet operations within the sector. I'm beginning to question if it would have been easier to simply get demoted or placed on a penal colony.

 

I'm scheduled to depart within the next several minutes. Luckily, none of the crew have yet to be informed about Admiral Atragon's sentence...correction...I guess the politically correct term would be "gracious second chance due to political pressure." I'm more concerned now than before that life aboard Aegis is going to become a lot more complicated.

 

If I'm lucky, most of the crew will see Nick's promotion and believe I've been replaced. Ah, what an interesting twist of fate that would be. I suppose technically it's the case at the moment, since my promotion isn't effective until my meeting at Starbase 375 is complete. I wonder what they'd think if I visited Risa instead...
