Trichon

"Stand and Break"

>Begin Log<

Trichon snapped awake from his nightmare. He couldn’t tell if he was really screaming or if that was all part of the dream. He was covered in a cold sweat and was in so much pain that it was almost unbearable. He looked around his surroundings and realized that he was out of that room and back in the brig.

Koshic looked over at Trichon. “It’s okay now you had a nightmare.”

Trichon layed back down on the hard floor of the brig. “Nightmare is right,” he muttered under his breath.

“You are in pain,” Koshic said with a slight twinge his face slightly contorted.

“Pain is an understatement Dak. I feel like I could die.”

Koshic looked at the engineer. He radiated with an intense burning pain. Koshic shut his eyes trying to block some of it out, but it was so intense that it was sweeping over him.

“What the hell did they do to you?” Koshic said with out thinking.

Trichon’s eyes glazed over for a moment, “I don’t want to talk about it Dak.”

“I understand.” Koshic knew that the young engineer meant that he didn’t want to talk about anything. He could tell Trichon was doing all that he could just to keep it out his own conscious mind.

Trichon began to shake and it wasn’t from the cold, “There evil Dak. I never truly understood evil until today.”

Intense psionic waves of pain swept over Koshic, he closed his eyes and tried to block them out, but it wasn’t working. “This is about a lot more than broken ribs isn’t it?”

“Broken ribs are the least of my problems.”

“I don’t think there is a Rihan word for mercy,” Koshic said sullenly.

“They kept telling me things that they would do to my friends, to the Arcadia, to Ruca...” Trichon’s voice trailed off.

Koshic placed a hand on Trichon’s shoulder. “It’s okay...” He trailed off; another wave of pain came over Koshic. He felt a writhing pain run down his spine. He closed his eyes and what he saw made his blood run cold.

Trichon’s mind flashed back to just after tr’Vel had left pinned to the floor of that horrible room.

A tall Romulan female strutted into the room. She seemed a little surprised, and amused to find him pinned to the floor, an evil grin crossed her face. “I take it you are Lt. Trichon Light?”

Trichon didn’t look up and mumbled into the floor, “Who's asking?”

t’Vixen jabbed a metal rod into Trichon’s back. “I ask the questions au pathetic fvai.”

Trichon grunted under the blow, “I guess that’s me when you put it that way.”

“Stand up and face me!” t’Vixen grinned knowing full well he was pinned to the floor.

“That’s a little difficult when the last guard pinned me the floor like a bug in his collection”

t’Vixen glared at Trichon. “Au are confused. There is no knife. Now Stand!”

“I may be hurting but I realize there is a knife sticking me in my hand.”

T’Vixen settled into the chair in the middle of the room in front of Trichon and cracked her knuckles. She then smacked him across the face with the metal rod. “There is no knife.”

Trichon could taste the blood in his mouth, “Okay if there’s no knife what’s this in my hand then?”

“I will not tolerate this lying. If au continues to lie to me, I will be forced to kill au…or au crewmates,” t’Vixen said with a devious dramatic tone.

“There is no knife,” she smacked him again. “NOW STAND!”

Trichon looked up as best as he could, “If you touch my friends I swear I will find you.”

“Really, au can’t even stand up au pathetic fvai,” t’Vixen said bemused. “At least that other pathetic engineer could do that.”

Trichon tried to stand but the knife held his hand firmly against the floor, “What do you mean the other engineer? How do you know I am an engineer?”

“I didn’t but au just told me,” she grinned. “Au are pathetic. I know au was either a Dheno or an Engineer by au colored shirt.”

t’Vixen circled Trichon now like a hawk. Each time she would pass his head she would stop and tap her shiny black boots in his face.

Trichon’s face contorted in anger. He had given up a piece of vital information without thinking. “I can’t stand with this damn knife in my hand, you cold blooded Romulan monster.”

t’Vixen stopped in front of him again and delivered a crushing back hand. “There is na knife au pathetic wimp. Au are just to pathetic to stand…or to scared”

t’Vixen resumed her circling again. Trichon winced in pain but would not give t'Vixen the luxury of crying out in pain, “Maybe your the pathetic one.”

She mashed his mouth again for that comment. “Au will speak only when spoken too are we clear?”

Trichon grinned through the pain, “I think you are the scared one. Your scared that if I did get off this floor. You are scared of what would happen.”

The Romulan whacked him in the mouth with the metal rod again. “Do na kid auself. I am not scared of au, au can’t even stand to face me.”

“And what if I choose not to stand up? You'll kill me? Go ahead because I won’t tell you anything.”

t’Vixen grinned. “Au aren’t worthy of killing so easily.”

“Its nice to know I am loved.”

T’Vixen removed her Kaleh from her hip holster and began to run it up his arm cutting away the jacket and nipping at his skin. “But au friends, they would make a nice sharpening tool for my Kaleh.”

She looked into his eyes as she ran the blade further up his arm. “Will au kill them?”

"Who says they are my friends?" It was a very obvious lie. The fear in Trichon’s voice was very noticeable.

“Do na take me for a fool,” t’Vixen said stopping the blade at his neck crouching to his eye level. “Au have it written all over you.”

Trichon began to whisper, "Touch any of them and I will kill you"

“Bold words for someone who can na stand up,” she said. “So which one will au kill first?”

Trichon began to fight against the blade in his hand now. The blood began to flow as he tried to pull his hand away from the blade. “Don’t touch them.”

“Perhaps I will start with au lovely woman?” t’Vixen said as picture of Dacotah appeared on the wall.

“Or perhaps this lovely one?” as a picture of Merri appeared. “As au human say women first?”

Trichon saw the pictures of his friends and shipmates appear on the screen and began to pull against the blade even more

“Au can save them aus knows?” t’Vixen said as she began running the Kaleh down Trichon’s other arm. “Au can stop all of this.”

“I won’t tell you anything.” His confidence was beginning to wane every time he said this. t'Vixen could hear it in his voice, the sound of someone who was losing his hope.

“Very well then au has sealed the fate of au crewmembers,” she said standing up and walking towards the door. “We will start with the first woman.”

Trichon pulled with all the strength he had left against the blade, "DONT TOUCH THEM!!!!!!!" This was followed by an almost primal scream as he pulled his hand up through the blade and left it sticking in the floor.

“And au says we have know conscious, I could never live knowing I killed one of my friends,” she stopped at hearing the scream and turned in delight.

Trichon bleeding internally and externally rushed at the Romulan. He grabbed t'Vixen by the throat and began to choke her with all the energy he had left, "DONT TOUCH THEM, I SWEAR I'll KILL YOU!!!!" He was screaming.

t'Vixen threw a right cross at Trichon and knocked him back to the floor. “Good au stood.”

He kept screaming the same thing over and over again and he began to cry as fell to the ground, “Don’t touch them, don’t touch them!”

“Au has a chance to save them...” t’Vixen said as she returned to the inside the room. “One simple question and we will spare them...for now...”

“I want so save them...” he managed to say through his physical and emotional pain.

"Good. I do na want to yy'a, I do na want to dull my Kaleh,” she said with a scarily sweet tone. “So answer this question and au have saved them, otherwise. We start the yy'aing."

Trichon just stared up at her cradling the hand that had been pinned to the floor that was now bleeding intensely.

“What was au doing in the Outmarches?”

“I...... I don’t know.” He lowered his head. His mind was racing; he really couldn’t remember it seemed so long ago.

“Very well then...let the yy'a begin,” she said as she leaned down and kissed Trichon on the lips. “Au had aus chance to save au precious friends but au has sealed the fate of au friends.”

“NO DON’T! Kill me, not them, please, they had nothing to do with anything. Don’t hurt them...” Trichon screamed out to t’Vixen as she headed out the door.

“Au will die soon enough,” she laughed as she was almost at the door. “Only after watching them die!”

“Good Bye, maybe they will make au death quick, but I doubt it for such a low life form.” she laughed as she walked out of the integration room.

t’Vixen had no intention to kill any of the Starfleet officers for such a useless human. He knew nothing of interest, she had broken him and he had said nothing, but for now she would let him think it over in silence. For in her mind silence was brilliant torture. She walked a few steps down the hallway, she put her hands down to her sides and felt her knife, and she figured she had better put it where it belonged.

T’Vixen returned to the room to find Trichon still cowering the corner crying. He had been left in the small room with only his wounds and his shame. He looked up at her,

“What do you want now? Just leave me to die.”

Without a word she took Trichon’s good hand out and stabbed her Kaleh throw the floor pinning him to the floor again. She turned and left him alone in the room again in silence.

Koshic looked around. He still had his hand on Trichon's shoulder. His blood ran cold as ice. Had what he just witnessed really happened? He felt sure of it. He didn’t know what to say. All he could do was to wrap his arms around Trichon and hug him.

Trichon was fighting to hold back his tears. He truly wished that he had died on the floor of the brig. All Koshic could say was “It’s okay you didn’t break…you didn’t break.”

“Yes….yes. I…I did”

“Shhh…it’s okay everything will be okay.” Koshic hugged Trichon tighter. The two sat there in a teary-eyed huddle for what seemed an eternity.
