Dialoging -- Romulan style

((OOC: I apologise in advance for the bleeped out commentary at the NPC Romulans, and hope that it offends no one. Special thanks to T'Rex for making the RES Talon, Welcome Packet where I learned of some of the Romulan terminologies.))

Seiben sat in the brig looking over an unconscious Trichon. He wasn't a doctor, and in fact got an abysmal 23% in Grade 11 biology in highschool, but he could tell his friend had some massive internal injuries. The Romulans will pay. Of this he is certain. Due to Seiben's singing, which had been his escape for stressful situations throughout his life, was beat up by one of the Romulans onboard, a T'Aehjae. Apparently, not being a music fan punched Seiben in the head causing him to fly across the room. The subsequent result was a bloody forehead and a massive headache. Still though his injuries were nothing compared to Trichon's. Seiben finds a tattered blanket on the floor -- courtesy of the RES Talon and places it over him. It's not the warmest blanket in the universe, but it's better than nothing.

He also notes the Commander Dacotah has been gone for quite a long time indeed. Seiben doubts that the Romulans are stupid enough to kill her, as she's probably the most valuable hostage of the Arcadia crew, but still Seiben is extremely worried for her welfare. Seiben looks around at the Arcadia crew in the brig. The entire Science and Engineering Department is represented here, as well as the Marines, excluding Quest, Ziggy Lo'Ami and Jaruq -- the Chiefs, but there isn't even one Medical Officer. Which seemed quite ironic to him. But in a sense he's very glad they aren't here as well. He thinks back to the Lake Tahoe holodeck date he had with Anika a few weeks ago. She was very forgiving, and very great to be around. It was certainly one of the best times of his life. Seiben certainly doesn't want anymore harm to befall on her, or any other of the doctors for that matter.

Just then, two Romulan security officers enter the brig and head towards Trichon and Seiben. Seiben immediatly stood up in front of Trichon. "Hey, leave him alone you heartless bastards! He's suffered enough!" The two Romulans laughed. "What would we want with that pathetic excuse of a lifeform?" one Romulan said pointing at Trichon. "We're through with him -- at least for now" he sneered. "Yes" the other Romulan said. "It is AU we want!" he said pointing his disruptor at Seiben. "Au will accompany us immediately!" said the second Romulan shoving the disruptor hard in his back. "MOVE!" he yelled. The two Romulans grabbed Seiben's collar and half dragged him out of the cell.

Seiben was taken to a small room. It was very poorly lit, and only contained three chairs and a small table. The two Romulans shoved him into a chair. "SIT!" one barked. The two Romulans looked over some notes on a PADD of some sort, and looked at Seiben. "Lieutenant Hansel Gehrhart Seiben. Assistant Engineer, USS Arcadia. Look at this Tr'Ell, his father is a very wealthy business tycoon on Earth"

The other Romulan laughed. "So I see, Sil'ik" Tr'Ell looked at Seiben. "Your father's money can't help au here, richboy" he said. Seiben just scoffed and looked the other way. Sil'ik walked over and grabbed Seiben's neck tilting Seiben's head to his. He squeezed harder, cutting off Seiben's air.

"Au will look at me when I am talking to au! Understand, Rich boy?" he said. "Jawohl, mein herr!" replied Seiben. Tr'Ell once again looked up from his notes. "According to our Etrehh (computer), au have downloaded extremely classified Rihannsu data onto a PADD. Au will relinquish it, immediately!" he said holding his hand. Seiben played dumb. "What PADD? I don't remember doing that". Tr'Ell walked over backhanding Seiben hard in the face, gving him a black eye. "Once again. Au will give us the PADD NOW!" Seiben held his hands in the air. "Search me. I don't know what you're talking about" Tr'Ell roughly frisked Seiben. "Ooh, watch it there!" said Seiben. Infuriated, Tr'Ell lands a right hook at Seiben. He hears his nose crack, and his blood soon stains the room and Tr'Ell's uniform. Writhing in pain, Seiben holds his nose trying to block the flow of blood. Tr'Ell polishes his steel toed boots, with a rag, then kicks Seiben hard in the stomach, taking the wind out of Seiben's sails.

"AU HAVE STAINED MY UNIFORM!! I JUST GOT IT CLEANED, AU WORTHLESS DOG!!" yelled Tr'ELL kicking Seiben in the ribs. Writhing in pain, Seiben curles into a fetal position. Sil'ick walks over and pulls Seiben up by the hair, planting him back into the chair. "The PADD. Where did au put it?" Sil'ick asked. "Up your mother's pie-hole!" Seiben replied. This remark merited a hard punch in the mouth by Sil'ick. "Au will NOT talk of my mother in that way again!" Seiben spat out some blood at Sil'ick, who in turn, back-handed Seiben across the face. Ooh, that smarts. He thought. "WHERE IS THE PADD?! TELL US!" yelled Tr'Ell. "What PADD? There's a special going on at the Federation Outlet Depot on Sky Harbour Aegis. 12 PADDs for 10 credits. You can take advantage of that great offer, and buy as many PADDs as you like. But it's a limited time offer" Seiben grins.

Infuriated by Seiben's defiance, Tr'Ell punches Seiben in the face, sending him sprawling across the room" Tr'Ell picks up his distruptor and fires it two inches from Seiben's head, synging his hair. Tr'Ell thinks better of it, and holsters the distruptor. "No, au are not worthy of a quick death like that" he said. "I think I am going to enjoy dealing with au the old fashioned way" remarked Tr'Ell as he cracked his knuckles. Tr'Ell grabs Seiben once again by the neck, lifting him high above his head. Then, with one shove Tr'Ell throws Seiben across the room and watches Seiben crash into the wall on the other side. Blood streaked down on the wall, and Seiben was struggling to stay conscious.

He tried to get up, under his own power but fell. Seiben wiped the blood from his eyes, and looked at the Romulans. "Au lo'annahs (sp? humans) are very stupid people! Tell us what au done with the PADD, and MAYBE we will go easy on au" said Sil'ick. "I ate it" Seiben replied. Sil'ick punched Seiben in the back of the head. "One more time. What did au do with the PADD?" Seiben gave him an innocent smile. "Like I said, I ate it. I haven't eaten for hours, and your guards still haven't given us anything to eat. I even saw one of your engineers walk by with a sandwich and some tea. So I was feeling hungry and decided to eat the PADD"

Seiben could see Tr'Ell and Sil'ick breathe slow and hard. They both punched Seiben's face, then started kicking him when he was down. Every blow was excruciating. Seiben shielded his head with his arms. He could actually feel some of his ribs crack. By now, Seiben has lost alot of blood and was starting to black out. The Romulans stood him up. "Au are a very stubborn man, Mr. Seiben. This type of bahaviour is very likely to get au killed" said Tr'Ell. "Meh, I am what I am" said Seiben. Sil'ick thwaps Seiben hard on the head. "You know, it's been proven that prolonged head injuries results in IQ loss" Seiben states. Tr'Ell slaps Seiben in the face. "SILENCE! I had enough of your insolence! Au will tell us where au put the PADD NOW!!" yells Tr'Ell. "*bleep* you, you filthy piece of Romulan *bleep*!" Seiben said, giving them the one-fingered-salute.

Tr'Ell kicks Seiben hard in the groin. So hard that tears come from his eyes. He then twists Seiben's arm and breaks Seiben's middle finger. Seiben cries out in pain. "Not so tough now, are au?" says Tr'Ell. "Get bent" says Seiben. Tr'Ell kicks Seiben in the head, making him see stars. Obvoiusly, the Romulans are both seriously annoyed at Seiben. "This lousy mongrel refuses to tell us anything!" Sil'ick says. He then summons some guards. "Take this filth back to the brig!"

Two Romulan guards walk in and roughly pick the bloody, battered Seiben up by his collar. They take him back to the brig and roughly shove him inside, narrowly missing Trichon still unconscious under the blanket. A streak of blood on the brig floor indicate his slide to his current position. The guards re-activate the forcefield and walk off to their positions. Seiben struggles to get up, falters, and fails.

He struggles to breathe. A rib probably punctured one of his lungs. Seiben thought.

Seiben checks on Trichon one more time. He looks peaceful under the blanket, and has stopped mumbling incoherently. Good..Seiben thinks, and smiles, as he pats him on the shoulder. "You'll be alright, my friend" Seiben quietly said though his broken jaw.

Struggling, Seiben crawls to a corner of the brig, with the help of some of the crew. He has lost alot of blood. He looks pale, and is beginning to drift in and out of consciousness. Seiben thinks of the bright side. If we get of this, then at least I'll get to spend alot of time with Anika in Sickbay. Perhaps we'll even go out on another date. Seiben thought of activities he can do with her -- such as mountain climbling and dinner and wine in Tuscani. The thoughts of Anika linger on as Seiben drifts into unconsciousness....
