2/ 3% ?

While looking at the crew roster off duty I noticed a new entry appeared in my personnel file, (2/ 3% ?). I wasn't sure of the significance of these figures other than that mathematically it spells out a formula leading to 66.6666667 as a result, assuming 3% represents .03 and solving for the question mark. I wasn't sure of the significance of this number either.

Upon further research I've discovered these figures do not represent a mathmatical equation but rather awards given to me by HoD BcH. This puzzles me. We are about 30 thousand light years away from anyone who would care about such things. I appreciate the gesture but perhaps the HoD is unaware Starfleet regulations clearly state awards shall only be worn on the dress uniform. As the survivors of the USS Lakota did not have time to retrieve our dress uniforms before the ship exploded I may not have the opportunity to wear them.

Researching further, I've discovered the names of these awards are 2 Sword Service Slashes, 3 Bronze Medals of Honor, and the Pennington Award. The Pennington Award is given for quality log writing over time. It is easy to see how this relates to my duties. A department chief, especially a technical chief, writes many logs and reports. I assumed the medals of honor were given for honor, as the name implies. However, the Sword Service Slash confused me as I do not recall ever operating a sword, much less being slashed by one.

Under additional investigation I've learned that the Sword Service Slashes and the Bronze Medals of Honor are given for an activity called "simming". I'm not sure what this "simming" entails but apparently I do a lot of it, over 50 so far. From what I've gathered a "sim" is roughly equivalent to a duty shift. That being the case there have apparently been 3 times as Chief Engineer where I have worked 10 or more shifts in a row. That's a lot of unpaid overtime.
