Something is a little screwy here...#5 doesn't make sense. But anyway...it's a flawed survey. :P

I know what you mean, my number 5 should be my number one :)

I think for my first election I'll have to vote for the liberals because ::sniff:: the PC is merging with the Alliance party and the Alliance support Heritage Front and I can't support that.

Because these are the people who can run your country and if someone else other then Bush the Democrat who wins these nominations would be up for a re-election next term when you will be of voting age so it is best to veiw their campaign stratedgys and promises now so you will not be suckered into a candiate that you do not truly like because you voted on one year of campaigning compared to entire 5

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but Nem is right. Even if you're not voting age as of yet, it would still be beneficial if you are aware of the presidential candidates. These people will be running yur country for thee next four years at least. By being aware of the candidates earlier, you;ll have a better idea of who to vote for when you reach voting age, instead of voting for someone you don't know, and regretting your decision. Such was the case for Prime minister Kim Cambell who only lasted a few months as PM before she was replaced by Jean Cretein. The more you know about the candidates, the more satisfies you'll be when you exit the voting booths in 2008.

When did this become a forum of Canadian politics....I can see the GM's coming to lock the topic......once again because of the Canadians :P.

I'm just messing around. Amazing that such a strange country is so politically diverse. :)

After one incredibly embarrassing set of results, I had to go back and change the "priorties" (they matter a lot in the results!), and got:

1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (100%)

2. Clark, Retired General Wesley K., AR - Democrat (83%)

3. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (83%)

4. Sharpton, Reverend Al - Democrat (81%)

5. Kucinich, Rep. Dennis, OH - Democrat (78%)

6. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (69%)

7. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (66%)

8. Lieberman, Senator Joe, CT - Democrat (48%)

9. Libertarian Candidate (36%)

10. Phillips, Howard - Constitution (13%)

11. Bush, President George W. - Republican (7%)

There were quite a few times I thought the website didn't have quite an appropriate choice...

The Canadian one is quite messed up (I don't think it asks enough questions or represents the parties correctly). It gave me the Marxist-Lennists as 1 and the NDP as 2. Had I been able to vote in Canada, I couldn't vote for either of them, even holding my nose at the ballot.

Yeah, I know, eh? I think that Canadian poll (and maybe the American one) is fixed. I've been a fan of the Liberal party for quite some time. I even voted for the Liberal Party in the Ontario Provincial Elections last October. ::sighs:: Oh well.

What was your Number 1, LoAmi??? Was it Al Sharpton or someone strange?? :).

I'm not gonna post up my Canadian results since I had no idea how to stand on any of the issues, since they were of none of my concern. :). Anyways it's just Canada, it's not like they're important or anything. :P :D

Ahem... I know it's "all in fun," but let's not start down the road to denigrate other people's beliefs, countries or political backing. Thank you.
