Well I voted for Al Sharpton because well I don't live in America and I think it would be very funny to watch the effects from the side lines :)

I agree with what Ben Stein (Bueller?... Bueller?...) said: "The only way I would vote for a Democrat is if there wasn't a Republican on the ballot."

Well no kidding, Nemesis. Does Canada even have Democrats? :)

Liberals. Democrats. Same thing.

Nope, no Democrates up here. We have Liberals, Sepertists, Conservatives, and New Democrates:-)

Liberals and Democrats are the same thing. They fall on the same spot of the political spectrum.

I am a passionate Democrat (Thank my Democrat family for that one! :)). I like Wesley Clark. He's my kind of guy.....That and Madonna endorsed him. How can you not vote for him after that! :) :D LOL

J/K. Not a huge Dean fan. Seems to me as he's trying a little tooo hard to be Anti-Bush. I'm more of a moderate so that's why I like Clark. He's not as left wing as Dean and he falls close to the middle, which I believe is always good for Gov't. :)

Well, even though I'm Canadian, I voted for Howard Dean. I'm not sure why. Ah well.

Oh, and in Canada we have the New Democratic Party, The Liberal Party, the Progressive Conservatives, and the Canadian Alliance party in order from the most left wing to the most right wing political parties. :)

Somehow..... I feel like I should be putting a plug in here, for the USS Republic.

What do you think, my fellow Republicans? Funny part, in the past, we've noticed that most of us were registered Democrats. However, this year, so far...I'm not happy with any of them. On either side.

For the Rep's...I'd have liked to have seen Elizabeth Dole run...she's one smart cookie, or for the Dem's....yes, you can scream now...or Hilary. Face it, Hilary's already familiar with the decor, knows the secret service guys, and knows all the heads of state. Just too bad she isnt' running. She wouldn't have to campaign a day, and could still take any of the Dem candidates in a landslide.

Anyway....Join the USS Republic. We really don't care much about your politics...just those of the Federation.

Don't forget the Bloc Quebecois! (yes, despite their best efforts, it's still part of Canada).

By the way, I voted for the blank box. I've narrowed down who I will vote for to four possibilities, and I'm not particularly inspired to vote for any of them. Fortunately, there's plenty of winnowing before my state's primary (it's been great, Gephardt!)

Blu

ROFL! Wow Hillary.....Ya know something funny I would always see when the candiates would go on Meet the Press or Crossfire or any of those shows. The host would always say "Well your 22% (Or whatever) in the polls, But when we throw Hillary's Name into the poll, the numbers show her with 60% of the support from Democrats, and in an election with Bush shows her with a sevearl point lead over him. What do you think about that? Do you think she should run?".

That always cracked me up whenever anyone would do that, it was hilarious. It just surprised me the amount the support she had and she hadn't even campaigned or anything or thrown her support to anyone. And whoever it was on the show just had this look on there face of "Ummmm.....What am I suppose to say?". Just amazing, ya never know, if the Dems lose to Bush she'll probably run in 2008 on the ticket and we might see Bill Clinton as the the First Man (Or whatever they would call him.).

Just something to nosh on, :).

Nice plug for the Republic though Blu. :)

Oh yeah, how can I forget the Bloc Québecois? They almost had their way in the Québec Referendum in 1995.

Oh yeah, even though we've probably violated one or two federation protocols in our current mission, lol. But I am a fan of the Liberals here in Canada, and I don't think Bush did a real good job as president these past four years, so if I were American, I'd vote Democrat too. (but for whom on this list, I am uncertain as Dean is the only candidate I know of.)

I find it funny how radically differant Canadian and American politics are, the Liberals and Conservatives are similar in ideals (not including NDP they are a crazy bunch of people) while in America they are supposed to be complete opposites. :)

A friend of mine sent me a bumper sticker that said "Run, Hillary, Run!" The instructions were for Democrats to place the sticker on the back bumper and for Republicans to place it on the front. :)

I have a dirty joke about Hillary. It is too good to say here (See Atragon? I'm learning!) but send me an E-mail or PM or catch me in a chat room and I'll tell it.

Well, I don't know if the reason I'd have an issue is because it's "good," but I *do* appreciate your restraint.

So, if you're not sure which candidate matches up with your views on the actual issues, you can see who agrees with your policies with the following questionnaire:

Well I want Al Sharpton to win the primary because Bush can beat him easily. :P

Hey, don't laugh. I might just do it. California is an "open primary" state, meaning you don't have to be a registered party member to vote for a candidate for that party in the primary. And as you know from our recall election Californians are quirky about our politics.

Well...

Realistically speaking, Hillary could have a legitimate shot in 2008 (I still firmly believe that 2004 is a lost cause for any Democrat) IF she does something about the American South. The Democrat party continues to alienate the South and the strongholds that they once held no longer exist. This is one of the downfalls of today's Democrat party. The second downfall is that the Democrat party has become a "VIP Only" party, meaning that they only want certain people who fit a certain criteria. If you don't meet the exact specifications, we don't want you. This is contrastly different than the Democrat party of the past. Contrastly, the Republican party has become the "Big Tent" party and has been less picky about certain things when it comes to candidates. On the whole, it has made the party more moderate. If the Democrats want the whitehouse in 2008 or Congress within the next, oh, 40 years, then they need to win back the South and become the "Big Tent" party again.

A quick note on polls...

CNN is incapable of doing polls. I recommend polls like Zogby if you want something that actually resembes some semblance of the truth. :)

Well I don't see how well that's gonna do ya with Sharpton dropping out of the race.....Tsk tsk tsk.....Shame on you. It'll probably be Clark, Dean, Edwards, and Kerry in the 7 primaries that are going to happen on Feb. 3. I haven't heard if Kucinich is out yet. But he'll probably wave the white flag by next week in New Hampshire with Lieberman dropping out as well (He's numbers just keep dropping and dropping). :).

Like the Convention would pick Sharpton. Pfffftttt.....
