Christie Farron

"Girl Talk" - A Farron Log

Lieutenant Christina Farron

Exobiology and Neurology Specialist

USS Manticore, NCC-5852

Farron finally had some time off, or at least time off from her normal duties. She had actually sat down and spoken to Lieutenant Commander Rogét, and not in as a commanding officer. Instead, Farron had a conversation with Rogét girl-to-girl, and talked about life. Rogét had been more open than expected, but Farron still was... "more open" about her life, her brother, and how she felt. Christie had originally sat down and talked to Rogét to help make the Commander feel better, but they both benefited from the conversation - or Christie thought, at least.

Farron had never been so open about her past as she was with Rogét. Perhaps it was simply because Rogét was originally open with her, and they both seemed to share thoughts about many things.

But, on to business.

As much as Farron hated to admit it, she knew that Rogét had to be let out of Sickbay. Otherwise, the commander was likely to start kicking and screaming... and leave Sickbay while either Farron or Mele had their backs turned. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise Farron at all. But, the commander was stable and all signs were pointing to "Good." Christie had faith in her recovery, but it appeared that Mele and Admiral Atragon had already accepted facts... or at least set themselves up to accept them. Christie had realized that the implants inside of Rogét could, in the end, cause massive harm to her, but Farron also felt that it could eventually be repaired. Farron was a neurologist, and faced many problems in regards to the brain and spine all throughout her career. But, she had never seen anything like what was happening to Rogét, and could only imagine what was happening to her body. She had never faced anyone with the implants like what Rogét has, and had definitely never adjusted them. However, there is a good chance they must be adjusted to agree with her body. She's getting older, as are the implants. Her body cannot take the added stress, proved obvious.

But, thanks to Rogét, Christie has discovered some new reading material. Many other neurologists had experimented with neural implants, but none ever finished their work. In the end, it was all too risky. But, of the information available from these experiments, Farron has pieced together what to expect from the implants Rogét has.

Now Christie was sitting in a shuttle, being flown around by Lieutenant Commander Garnoopy. By the way he was flying it, he would make one insane taxicab driver... but that's why he's an Engineer and not a full-time pilot. After doing a quick pass above the pyramids, an odd thing was discovered. Between her tricorder and Lieutenant Goad's sensor scans, it was obvious that no one was around - anywhere. More scans will soon be underway, but right now... everyone is confused.
