Why??!??!?!

Nah too lazy to place a poll. So any ways. Why do you sim? chiefly for plot? action? for the good and sci-fi problems to solve? mysterious anomalies? captains getting abucted? murder mystries? i sim because in every one of 'em theres a problem to solve, and the mystery of what is going to happen is too good to give up. every sim has its specialties, whenever it's action or mystery, you still act differently. I sim because there are infinitey results to one plot and every one of them is special.

now the question is up to you. Why do you sim?

Hey there,

Long ago, many years ago, I started to play because it looked interesting. Wouldn't you know, I grew to enjoy it! And...after numerous attempts to get rid of me...I'm still here! ;)

I play because it's fun for me. From my perspective, these days, I enjoy seeing how a plot takes shape. Seeing how each person puts in their own two cents, forming something that ends up being nothing like I expected. I enjoy the friendship that often comes with the game...and of course there's the technobable. :(

That happens on the QoB-Lakota sim every week. We end up with 28 cents. ;)

I sim purely to watch Kresh and Quint. They are the reason I am here.

Story writing and using one's own imagination to create characters sometimes more developed and better written then the best film writers ;)

I started to sim as a form of escape from reality. RL was so tough on me, the memories bring tears to my eyes even now. Eventually one simmer wrote a log series, and hence I started to write my own logs beyond "Shot this, ate this". I even closed up my days as an active simmer in SFOL with a series called "The Hunter Triology".

Maybe that is why I accepted a less active role in the community a few months back, since I no longer needed to escape RL. That for the first time from beyond memory I started to feel as peace with my real life.

Inspiring stuff.

I sim...because it's fun. Simming for me has never been more than any other thing that I enjoy doing. It's challenging and yet relaxing at the same time. My life doesn't revolve around it, but I do set aside a little time each week to do it. I won't be able to sim forever, but when it is time to say goodbye, I'll have no regrets doing so. ;)

My dearest friend got me started in this five years ago - and because of her I have met and made life long friends with some truly wonderful people, and have some pretty incredible memories....

The role playing is fun, but it's the people that make this group so unforgetable. ;)

Well, I sim for alot of reasons.

It's fun, it's a cool way to make new friends, good plots, and actions. You probably nptice how fast an hour flies when you're on your on your ship, eh? Also, the skillfull GMs make the sim that much more real and interactive, like reading a good book. or e-Book in this case. ;) Also a good way for me to escape from reality, and to forget about the day's stresses.

One word. FUN!!!!!!!!!!

:) Number One Reason! :) And creative. And interesting. And I've met a lot of really cool people. Ones I really like. :) And have missed during my "shuttlecraft hiatus." :( I look forward to zooming in cyberspace with y'all once the holidays release their grip on me!

Oh...I did pick up another transmission on a rare subspace frequency. I actually think the frequency is from the twenty-first century in Earth, for the customs are...barbaric...by our ever so enlightened standards. I am so glad our food is mostly replicated! We avoid such difficulties. And for our feline Starfleet officers, I suggest skipping this boradcast. PittyKitty, and Caitian Admiral BluRox, this would definately be too distrubing for you! ;) I'm rushing this time transmission for further analysis to Starfleet's temporal anomalies department at HQ. If you ever time travel to the 21st centruy, think twice about ordering Chinese take out:
