Where Star Trek comes from.

(What I *do* have a problem with is the heinous forehead mutation in such a short time.  Not only is it ugly, it's dumb.)

Hey, if Klingons can go from ridged to smooth and then back to ridged - sometimes even within a single character's lifespan (Remember Kor? We saw him as both ridged AND smooth) then why couldn't the Romulans develop a ridge in a few centuries?

It's not unrealistic. Humans today would be considered GIANTS compared to how we were just a few centuries ago. Of course living conditions are better now too so that could have something to do with it.

You do know you posted twice right?

That's why the post said it was being 'reposted", because I guess nobody noticed the attached reading list the first time, or just don't like to read.

Also, there are many new members that would not have known to look there.

I never knew the Remens exsisted until the making of Nemesis. So this is new information to me.

The Remans didn't exsist until the creation of Nemesis. One of those little things that makes those of us on the Talon only uses the movie as a coaster :D

I agree...if you've been simming a long time Romulan and suddenly you've got a canon slave race, it would be tough to adapt.

Although...why not just make the Remans a "secret" slave race that no one in the empire really talks about, a taboo, that never came to light until they built the Schimitar.

And there's no mention of Remans being related to Romulans, so I don't understand the upset about genetic mutations or whatnot.

There's always ways to explain things in your sim with a little creativity :D

Lots of aliens have pointy ears...it doesnt mean anything.

Nowhere in the movie did it say Remans were related to the Romulans...so I just dont get why everyone jumps to that conclusion.

We need a new TV series exclusively Romulan :D

The big problem is the rock of dilitithium bit. Heck...t'Rexan is from ch'Havern and the last time i checked she wasn't a mutant...although she does only have one REAL hand ::snicker::

Ah, that's true. Unless maybe that was just a moon around Remus? Or Remus has another side that's nice and normal?

I think I remember it being mentioned in a Trek show that Romulus and Remus were "twin worlds"...meaning nearly identical...dunno.

Well, Shinzon was a bit unstable, and he was a clone. Perhaps his memories were altered to make him think that he had lived on Remus for all those years, and that Remus was a deadly dilithium mine. Maybe the whole Shinzon and Scimitar plot was actually controlled behind the scenes by a secret Romulan group. :D
