(200th STSF post, wOOt! ::does a happy dance::D

With the absence of Mr. Xiang and Ms. Micheals, Tar'Mok was the lone representative of the Excalibur's Science Department in the holo-deck simulation testing out the command experience of Mr. Deveraux. Tar'Mok sat at the Science Station collecting scans of constellations in the Gamma Quadrant. Tar'Mok dutifully performed his scans, until finally the simulation was over. The crew congratulated Mr. Devaeraux and each other for a job well done, and 'not blowing up and dying' as one crewman said. Tar'Mok and the others exit the holodeck, and some decide to go to the messhall. Tonight's menu consitsted of salsbury steak, potatoes and some syntheholic South African wine. "Quite a welcome change from plommek soup, eh Tar'Mok?" One officer said. "In what way, sir? Plommek soup is extremely high in nutrients. " Tar'Mok replied. "Yes, but low in taste, it's like Metamucil." He said. Tar'Mok raised an eyebrow. "Plomeek soup is not high in fibre, like Metamucil. Your comparison is illogical." The officer scoffs and converses with someone else. Tar'Mok shrugs and uses the time to call his mate T'Shar at the P'Jem Monestary on Vulcan. "Hello, T'Shar. Did you receive the supplies I sent you?" he asks. T'Shar says yes. Tar'Mok nods and just when he was about to disconnect, an umfamiliar male voice piped in. "Hey, who are you talking to, T'Shar?" "I am talking with my mate, Tar'Mok." T'Shar moves out of the way abit when she re-positions herself, giving Tar'Mok at the man with T'Shar. "Hello, Tar'Mok. You have a wonderful mate." says the man. "Thank you" says Tar'Mok, "and you are?" The man waves to Tar'Mok. "Uhh, I am Liutenant JG Hans Seiben of the USS Arcadia." Tar'Mok nods. "Greetings, Mr. Seiben. " Tar'Mok concludes that Mr. Seiben is under T'Shar's care for counceling and mental healing at P'Jem. "How is your councelling progressing, Mr. Seiben?"

"Oh, just great. You are very lucky t have T'Shar as a mate." adds Seiben. "Indeed. " says Tar'Mok. "So you're Federation, eh? What ship are you on?" asks Seiben. "I am an Assistant Science Officer on the USS Excalibur, Soverign Class." Seiben's eyes widen. "Soverign Class.. like the Arcadia." Tar'Mok shakes his head. "Not exactly, Mr. Seiben, the Excalibur is a re-fiitted Soverign Class vessel, thus is slightly more sophisticated than the Arcadia. " Seiben rolls his eyes.. "Puh! Re-fitts my foot! Once the re-fits I have planned for the Arc, are complete we'll see who's ship is more 'sophisticated'" Tar'Mok raises an eyebrow. "Indeed, we shall see."Tar'Mok tilts his head and thinks. Humans always favoured their technology.. from the 20th century when they obsessed over their land vehicles often spending unusally high amounts of currency cutomising their vehicles, to now.. no matter what class vessel a human served on, in their opinion, their vessel is the best in the fleet. Something that would not happen on Vulcan. It is illogical to assume their vessel is the 'best in the fleet'. Even if it is a high class vessel, such as a Soverign, there are 30-40 just like them. And with the introduction of the new Titan-Class vessel, Tar'Mok realises the Soverign's 'days in the sun' are numbered. Much like the fate of the Galaxy Class. Seiben continues to boast about the Arcadia's upcoming Marine Headquarters, Marine Fighters, Engineering jeffories tube robot, and an Engineering Lounge. As well as a new class of shuttle another crewman is developing. "Interesting plans, Mr. Seiben. However, your Arcadia still lacks the technical refinement of the Excalibur." Seiben shrugs. "Whatever..." Tar'Mok realises that further validations are illogical. Tar'Mok returns to his meal, and T'Shar returns to the screen. T'Shar tells Seiben to continue to meditate. T'Shar and Tar'Mok say their goodbyes and love to each other and they terminate connection. Tar'Mok sits there still thinking about Seiben. An interesting fellow. HE thinks. Illogical, but interesting nonetheless. Tar'Mok finishes up his meal and walks to his quarters, gaining one new friend.
