Star Trek: Nemesis

With the new movie out, I'm interested to where you guys rank Nemesis among the other quality TNG movies.  If you vote, please post why you are voting a certain way.  :wink:

 

My vote: Despite the valiant attempt of Nemesis, my vote still goes to Star Trek: First Contact.  Contrary to the opinion of FredM, I do not like to watch what I consider, unessecarily lengthened episodes.  Nemesis and Insurrection both could have happened within the series if they wanted to.  Although the Borg have now been overused, First Contact was still cool, and was an adventure that couldn't be captured in the series. :)

I voted for First Contact.

 

Sry to Generations, Insurrection, and Nemisis lovers but First Contact was an aweasome movie. It had everything a trek film needed, a great plot, aweasome action scenes, hand to hand combat, cool technology, the near destruction of the Ent E in a plausable situation, and it had to be in a film, it couldn't be in a 2 parter series set on tv.

 

My ranking goes as follows :

First Contact

Insurrection

Generations

Nemisis

 

Now, this rank will change over time, Nemisis needs time to sink in for me. I hated all but First Contact when I saw the films, but now I love em all. Soon I shall love Nemisis 2.

 You bring up a very good point.  As with almost everything in life, first impression is everything.  First Contact left a wonderful first impression with me that the other three failed to do.  Sure Generations and Insurrection grew on me over time and are in my video collection, but I'll never forget how awesome First Contact was in the theaters and how it left me thankful that the Enterprise crew had once again saved us from the Borg.  :wink:

I gave my vote to Nemesis.   With the special effects and the cool character interactions, I think it stands out most to me.

My vote ranking would go...

 

First Contact - Because of the same points you all have made and the fact that I worked Lieutenant Hawk into my family line IC.

 

Nemesis - More starship activity. That's about all and the fact that the Romulans were used.

 

Insurrection - For the comedic aspect.

 

Generations - Would have been better suited as a TV movie or series finale if All Good THings wasn't filmed.
