Favorite Academy

Hello everyone! :D

 

 

STSF has existed for more than a year, and by this point, most have participated in at least a few academies. Which one is your favorite, and why? What about the academy makes it your favorite? What kind of GM styles do you prefer in the academy?

Favorite academy? I can't choose which night is my favorite. I mean I have two of the most darling men as my XOs -- how could I possibly choose one over the other??

I haven't tried al the academies, but so far both of the academies on Tuesday nights are my favorite. Why? I think it's because when I was trainging in the academies I clicked the best with those groups. I don't recall myself attending many on Sunday nights though, cuz I am sure I would have clicked there too. :ph34r: After all they are my current Capt and Cdr.

My life has become so busy it's hard for me to attend mot academies anymore.

 

However, when I do, I enjoy whichever one I'm in. GM's here are great, who can pick between them?

My sentiments, also. So many of them have helped me as I learn how to sim. And so many great simmers. :ph34r:

I must agree with that. All the GM's are great and I have learned a lot from them. I think what actually makes the sim different are the people who attend them. The variety of cadets as well as advanced players. When there is an academy sim dominated by arcadia, I feel just like I am on the arcadia.

I enjoy all the acedemies. I really can't pick a favorite out of them since each academy has a quality that sets it apart from the rest of the academies.

 

As for the GM styles, it is nice to be able to play under different command styles. It give the players a variety of command structures to play under and to learn to adapt to different situations. Most of the advance ships have differences in the way the ships are ran and it can give the newer cadets an idea what to expect on some of the ships if the advanced ship GMs are also academy GMs.

How cant you vote for the summer academy! I've never had a better time in my life! If that could have been my regular sim, it would have! Shame on you for not voting for Fred!

I don't really have a favorite Academy time or GM pair, but if we want to expand this topic to favorite academy *themes* I like battles the best.

One thing I will say about GM styles, imho, I've noticed that when it comes to distinctiveness: :ph34r: I absolutely know when Admiral Atragon walks the planks of the decks of the ship !! :o No one is quite like he ! :D

 

As to styles of simms: yeah, I like battles the best, too. Despite the fact that I'm female...it's the most fun! B)

I'd probably say that the summer acadmemies with the Pandarians were my most favourite. They were always a blast, and sometimes literally too. :ph34r: But now, I do not really have a favourite academy per se. Ah well...

Actually all the ones on sunday are my favorite. Starts of with my CO and Xo and then Ziggy and Kbear now thats just fun :ph34r:
