Starfleet Career Summary

Due to her previous schooling, Anika was eligible for the three year plan at Starfleet Academy. Anika also completed residency during her second year at the academy. A year later she graduated from the academy top 15% of her class. Anika has shown an amazing skill to work well under stress, especially with a heavy work load.

 

Family History

Anika’s parents are successful business owners in Maui, Hawaii. Christine, 52, is the owner of Kalani Café, and Adrian Pierce, 55, is the owner of Extreme Sports which is an equipment and rental store. Anika has one older brother named Vincent, 32, who is married and has 3 children. Vincent is a civilian Marine biologist.

 

Personal Summary

It was discovered at a young age that Anika had a natural talent for many sports including: surfing, wakeboarding, and rock climbing. Apparently, Adrian’s love for the wilderness was passed down to her. Surprisingly, Christine’s gift of cooking was also passed along and Anika has become an amazing cook.

 

Having a high aptitude for science, Anika attended the University of Hawaii to major in biology. One of her professors saw her potential and realized she wasn’t cut out for research. He directed her into the field of medicine and once there, she became captivated by trauma and decided to make it her emphasis.

 

During her second year of residency, Anika enrolled into Starfleet Academy. Her parents were angry when they learned of her acceptance; they did not want there daughter gallivanting throughout the universe saying it was too dangerous. Currently, her parents are not speaking to her and her brother; however she does keep close contact with her brother, Vincent.
