I believe in you

“I believe in you.” Kroells’s logs (log 54)

Travis stood in the turbo lift, slowly heading to the bridge, his stomach killing him again, ulcers weren’t really something his family got, but then again, he’s had enough stress in the last week, to last a life time.

He sighed, he couldn’t believe that it had been almost two years since she had died…He had changed so much from then…if only he had known what would take to make him a person who cared…Nothing mattered back then…he didn’t care until the one thing he should have cared about was gone…

The part that hurt the worst, was the fact that she could have been here today…He remembered the shuttle coming down, the smoke and fire choked his lungs, panels exploding…She made the choice to use the emergency transporters to beam him off the shuttle, he begged her not too…but he couldn’t get to the controls, the fire blocked him off from her, he couldn’t stop her from saving him…Kayla…she sacrificed herself so he could live…nothing hurt more then that…All his friends, and her friends that still would talk with him told him, that she would do anything for him, that it didn’t matter if it was him piloting the shuttle…it was his fault.

That was a load of crap, they said that time would heal it…that he’d move on, that eventually he’d understand her choice, they were wrong, the ulcers, and everything else wasn’t just because of the stress, everyday he knows this, he wakes up and asks him self why the hell he should be here, she would have gone farther…The rank of lieutenant, and chief of science department is just a cover, to something that can never be replaced…

He figured he’ll have to stop at sickbay something soon; the pain was just worsening, typical. He just cant place his finger on what it was that made him want to get back to Earth, he’d be going to a place where he’s lost so much, his fiancé…his mother…If Sivuk were still here he’d say it was illogical…

Either way, he’d get home, he swore it to himself, and there are too many tombstones he hasn’t visited in a long time. He didn’t care if it drove him made, he’d figure out how to get that cannon to work, and then he’d shoot the Reaent back home…nothing else mattered any more…

She told him she believed in him…the last thing she said before she hit the button that sent him away from her, “Travis, not matter what has happened, I always believed in you, even if you don’t…I love you…”

A single tear rolled down his cheek as the doors to the bridge opened, he quickly wiped it off…He had been away from home for far too long…

I believe in you, I’d give up everything just to find you,

I have to be with you, to live, to breathe, your taking over me…

Kroells, my computer can't open the file. You have to attach it in Word or Notepad or something. Whatever .wps files are my comp doesn't like them.
