Wouldn't it be a little intresting to hear all of them sing other than at conventions. (Even though I have only heard Mr. Brent Spiner, Mr. Patrick Stewart, and Mr. Michael Dorn sing in the movies as their characters.) :D

Brent Spiner didnt do a bad job singing in ST Nemesis. Unless that wasnt him singing. And niether did Patrick Stewart. But I've never heard Micheal Dorn sing in any of them.

That was indeed Brent Spiner singing in Nemesis. In fact, Brent even recorded his own album once, titled "Ol' Yellow Eyes is Back". I never heard the album so I don't know if this was recorded "in character" or not.

Being native to the town of the great white way (the Broadway), I can tell you there was such an idea afloat a number of years ago: 'Star Trek: The Musical!' Fortunately, it sank, soon there after. ....Did I hear someone mention "Star Trek: The Opera" ??... :D

(One problem pointed out back then was: how do you show space and fx of space on a stage, even a Broadway stage? The other was the idea of a singing Vulcan .......... SPOCK SINGING ???)

Leonard Nimoy has an album featuring the ballad of Bilbo Baggins. That reminds me of a voyager episode where they were all singing or was that one of my dreams not quite sure yet :D

I've got all the tracks from the album and i'd say it's pretty decent. The "goodnight sweetheart" with all the guys from ST is cool and "it's a sin to tell a lie" with patrick stewart doing a deep-voice narration is pretty funny

Actually, in Star Trek:Insurection Micheal Dorn sang with Patrick Stewart when they were trying to get Brent Spiner's character.

I think they should have Leforge and Data do a duet in engineering and see how many of the extras apply for an away team :-P

To be honest with you guys, the thought scares the hell out of me...but then again it's just me.

by the way Brent Spiner played the voice of Conan O'Brien on the south park movie, for those of you who has to know every thing about the ST actors.

For the record, the only South Park celebrity animation with a voiceover from the real-life counterpart was Robert Smith, lead singer of The Cure.

Ol' Yellow Eyes is great.

I love excuses in the series and movies to use the other talents of the actors, like singing.. But I think Star Trek The Musical would be my worst nightmare come true.

Now, as a SPOOF... now THAT I would want to see.

Btw, I just about fell out of my chair this week when I saw the new tooth-whitener ad on TV... the one with the step dancing dream... lol!
