Begin Log:

 

It was an uneventful day on my first duty shift onboard the USS Republic. LtCdr Trepp introduced me to the engineering stations; he gave me some interesting suggestions which I should keep in mind. I was then put to work on running diagnostics on the navigational thrusters, 16 thrusters! What a pain on my feet, it took me 2 hours to finish but that’s the kind of job onboard a Galaxy class ship.
