Reporting for duty

Now knowing his way aqround the Excalbur, Tar'Mok takes the turolift to Engineering to report for duty. His Chief, Mr. Pearman is still down on the planet on his away mission. Tar'Mok exits the turbolift and enters engineering. Looks like any other engineering sector on a ship, except for a small office containing a water depenser and a table containing some earth snacks. Tar'Mok enters the area near the warpcore and doesn't really see anybody there. Nobody told Tar'Mok what he was assigned to do, so he enters the small office, hoping somebody can tell him. In there, Tar'Mok meets a man drinking water, by the dispenser. He looks to be part Romulan, part human, and another part that he is not familiar with. At first, Tar'Mok thought he a superior, but later, hTar'Mok saw that he was an enlisted officer. The man didn't know what Tar'Mok was supposed to do, so he decides to wait for a superior's return. Tar'Mok pors soem water into a cone shaped container, and converses with the man. Usually, Tar'Mok avoids contact with Romulans because they killed his father and brother, but this man, is not full Romulan, so he can cope with that. An intriguing man, this -- Just Adam, as he calls himself, makes notes at Tar'Mok's humour. Tar'Mok wasn't even aware he had a "sense of humour". The two of them sit and drink in engineering, until they are called to the bridge by Admiral Day. He meet him yesterday, when he and Trichon offically reported for duty on the Excalibur. Tar'Mok and Just Adam enter the turbolift and report to Admiral Day. After following them around, Tar'Mok is pleased to learn that Tar'Mok's orginal application for Assistant Science, has been approved, and he is transferring immediately. Just Adam was transferred to security, and a ferengi, A Ms. Krax transferred to helm. Tar'Mok is regretful, he will part company with his new associate, Just Adam, but he will overcome. Tar'Mok takes the Turbolift down to Science to find his new chief, and report to him..
