Ensign Tar'Mok inside of the shuttle craft, gazes out at the USS Excalibur. A refitted Soverign-class vessel. Tar'Mok fresh off his pon'farr, with T'Shar is to report for duty in engineering tommorow. Tar'Mok was quite surprised to receive engineering when he originally applied for Science. But, Tar'Mok did minor in engineering in academy, so he can make do. As the shuttle enters the shuttlebay, Tar'Mok takes his bags and finally steps into his new home. An assistant gives him a PADD containing information about his newly assigned quarters. Tar'Mok enters a turbolift bound for his new quarters and sees another person inside. He looks to be half-klingon, and like him, new to the Excalibur, judging by his bags located near him on the floor. The Klingon/human later introduced himself as an Ensign Chris Trichon. They talk about their past academy experiences, and their previous posts. Well, trichon's previous post, as this is Tar'Mok's first federation assignment. They arrive at Deck 10, and they both exit out, to Tar'Mok's surprise. Shrugging, Tar'Mok enters his quarters, which is located four doors down from Mr. Trichon's. Not required to report for duty for another 12 hours, and having already completed his physical examinations on Vulcan, and thus not needing one on the Excalibur, Tar'Mok begins to unpack at set up his meditation area. After lighting the candles, Tar'Mok meditates alone for an hour. Feeling hungry after that, Tar'Mok replicates some plomeek soup. Tar'Mok then exits his quarters and explores around the Excalibur. Getting to know one's way around their new ship, is a logical use of one's time, he thinks. Tar'Mok brings up the ship's schematics, memorises it and explores most of the ship. After that, he returns to his quarters for meditation and sleep.
