MISSION BRIEF: Having escaped the surly grasp of the giant spacefaring jellyfish, the crew gather a few hours later to discuss damage assessments and figure out what to do next.

In the conference room, drinking tea, per usual

William was in the conference room, trying to not look disheveled. He had attempted to clean off the various bits of grease from fixing parts of the ship, but he never really could keep his fingernails clean. Somehow.

Irene's got a stack of padds in front of her like a poker hand. "I didn't know we had this many plasma conduits in the sensor array to blow up."

"So many isolinear chips..."

"You'd be surprised. Many of those sensors have a dedicated conduit."

Drinks tea So what's the butcher's bill.

I am concerned if we've used so much of our back up stock.

"We could get more. But it will take time to replenish."

"I don't think it's a good idea to keep going after that amount of damage without a thorough inspection at least."

"That's also true. As much as I'm loathe to admit it, we may need the station monkeys to look us over."

looking at a total mess "We've got to find more secure storage for the torpedo magazine."

Frowns The {name of base i completely forgot from our first mission goes here} isn't much of a stop for that kind of thing. Probably need a real drydock.

"Indeed, but beggars can't be choosers."

"We're going to need at least a day to realign the long-range sensor array. Everything was scrambled after the subspace waves, let alone getting humped by a giant jellyfish thing."

Get a full damage report to together, and we'll head that way. What's the nearest drydock?

William racks his brain. "Nearest Federation one? Probably closer to the Wormhole if we could swing it. I'll have to look at the map again."

Antares Yards then?

“That sounds about right, sir.”

At least a bartender there owes me several cases of Romulan Ale.

“Always good to have people that owe you a favor.”

"The navigational array is up and running, at least."

I got her out of a jam with some Orion Syndicate types once. How were they to know I was just a lowly Commander of a Sabre-class at the time.

“Ah, I see.”

Rex> Blinks You bluffed a bunch of Orions?

“It’s easier than you think.”

Smirks I can be pretty intimidating apparently.

Rex> smirks at Will Well, I better go help the juniors rearrange the cargo bays. Place is a mess down there.

“They didn’t give me two full and one hollow pip for no good reason.”

Nods Dismissed.

“Thank you sir.”

"Okay uhhh, I think we can move that barrel of volatile liquids there without bringing the whole thing down."

"I had better go make sure we're not going to crash into more jellyfish." She collects her padds, stands up and stretches out behind her oversized executive chair.

Stands and walks back onto the bridge, tea in hand Helm, set a course at Warp 5 for Station D-6.

"Ohhh boy, that's a lot of ammonia."

Williams walks to the turbolift. “Computer, Main Engineering.”

Val> "Aye, Warp 5 for Station D-6. Isn't that the one with your biggest fan, Cap?"

Frowns If he's still there we're just keeping on driving. Okat.

Clark> Hides a giggle

Rex> Makes his way down to the cargobay I love Jenga.

"Oh glad you could make it sir."

Rex> Had senior staff. Captain is pointing us back to society.

William steps out into Main Engineering, which is still a mess, frankly, and sighs. “We’re headed to dry dock everyone. Let’s try to be presentable.”

Val> "Understood." Tapping her console. "Course laid in."

"Glad to hear it, I think we're near out of the more common chip sizes."

"Medical could probably use some extra assistance too."

Rex> And thats if there's nothing worse wrong. Can't really check the warp coils without dry dock etc.

Does the thing Engage.

notices the jump to Warp "Hopefully nothing too bad"

Rex> Nods I am not going to be sad if we have to go back to civilization, but god only knows what mission they'll send us on after this.

Val hits the button and the ship zooms off with a fancy optical effect.

"Hopefully a cluster with slightly less pyschic entities. So if we move the ammonia that pile of tungsten is going to crash onto that crate of power cells, but if we move the power cells it'll make the ammonia spill onto those mining charges, and if we move those..."

I really don't have a next plot planned yet so, will have to work on that.
