USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: (CO) Captain McFly, (XO) Kansas Kenickie

U.S.S. MANTICORE BRIEFING #1358 STARDATE 52604.06

Manticore has been sent to a planet just across the boarder of Cardassian space, where the Dominion are searching for the materials needed to make Ketracel White. The crew is hoping to find a key mineral in order for Starfleet to target the planets containing it and decimate their White supply. Manticore sent a science module down to begin testing for the correct mineral all while Starfleet Marines battled Jem'hadar on the other side of the planet. But they had eyes everywhere and spotted the away team quickly. Manticore intervened but got attacked by ships warping in and were forced to flee. The crew survived their time in the module while Manticore commandeered the Defiant. Now the Defiant races back to the module to rescue the away team before it's too late.

# AS A REMINDER TO THE AUDIENCE, THREE SHIPS DROPPED OUT OF WARP JUST BEFORE THE "TO BE CONTINUED" FLASHED ON THE SCREEN. TWO CARDASSIAN KELDON CLASS SHIPS AND A LARGE DOMMINION BATTLE CRUISER. THE BATTLE CRUISER REMAINS IN ORBIT WHILE THE TWO KELDON CLASS SHIPS BEGIN DECENDING TO THE SURFACE. THE AWAY TEAM CAN SEE THE TWO SHIPS DECENDING FROM THE CLOUDS. THE TWO SHIPS DON'T APPEAR TO NOTICE THE MODULE AT FIRST, MORE LIKE TAKING A SURVEY OF THE AREA FIRST.

::looks at Faldek:: I think I need to work on my Command skills. Since things like this can arise...Seeming to be more often than not.

::looks out of a window at the looming Dominion ships:: Uh oh...

I have picked up 2 Cardassian ships Keldon clss... and a Dommion battle cruiser

::goes to the window:: Well... Looks like a couple Keldon class warships.

Well this puts a dampener on things. ::gives Pilot a look, pulls out a little blue canister and pulls out a little white pouch and pops it in his mouth:: This does not bode well.

You see the Obsidian Order exclusively only used the Keldon so I am very familiar with it and ... one is coming this way.

We're at maximum warp already. Any faster and we risk overloading the warp core.

We may have to abandon this module, prep the wounded and get extra tri-ox ready, also grab only what you need for your research, just in case.

If there was a way we could destroy that ship above them. They too would need to lower their shields to beam anyone up. I wonder if we can trick them into lower their shields long enough so we can take them out.

Kansas, can you remotely connect to that padd? Tell them to do something that gets them to lower the ship's shields.

It's alright, I was watching the force awakens yesterday and there's like a good 5 minutes that goes by after they say there's only 2 before the big weapon goes off. So whose to say we don't fudge the time a bit.

Hey, we are going to need someone to be at the transporter to make sure the pad is clear after each time we beam up three people...

Or you can yell at them over the comm to get their asses off the pad.
