U.S.S. MANTICORE BRIEFING #1357 STARDATE 52603.30

Manticore has been sent to a planet just across the boarder of Cardassian space, where the Dominion are searching for the materials needed to make Ketracel White. The crew is hoping to find a key mineral in order for Starfleet to target the planets containing it and decimate their White supply. Manticore sent a science module down to begin testing for the correct mineral all while Starfleet Marines battled Jem'hadar on the other side of the planet. But they had eyes everywhere and spotted the away team quickly. Manticore intervened but got attacked by ships warping in. The marines came to aide but one of them mistook Faldek as the enemy and the two went flying over a cliff. After taking too much damage, Manticore was forced to retreat leaving the away team on the surface and still under attack. They finally reached DS9 and McFly was able to convince Sisko to allow them the use of the Defiant as long as Commander Worf takes command. Back on the planet, the Marine Commander sacrificed himself in order to bring down the last Jem'Hadar fighter. The away team are safe in the module but its power is nearly depleted and they don't know when Manticore will return. EJ, along with the only marine not wounded, set out to obtain a power source from the downed Jem'Hadar fighter while Bren and Annika stayed behind to try and accomplish the original mission they were sent here for. Meanwhile, Faldek spent too much time trying to convince the marine that he was not a spy that a wandering Jem'Hadar attacked wounding him but saving the marine. They ended up joining Pilot and Danah on their mission and together retrieved the power source. Upon return to the module they snuck up on and attacked a Jem'Hadar shooting the module slowly depleting their power.

STARFLEET MARINES!!! ::stands up and runs towards the Jem'Hadar; she shoots him then clocks him in the head::

::goes to tap this commbadge but remembers he doesn't have one:: Frick... Can you let them know we're here and to open up please.

:: looks to Commander Faldek upon seeing the Jem ' Haddar is still alive....::

Alright, uh... ::looks around on the console for the department comms buttons; finds it and presses it:: +Engineering, Sickbay+ check in, are you green?

The Marines and Sierra are recovering. They seem to be in good health, given our limited medical expertise.. well, humanoid medical expertise.

::takes a couple of poses like Hulk Hogan then grabs her rifle and follows Danah up the ramp of the module::

We also analyzed the surface and ketracel samples... they can definitely have the resources here to produce it in significant quantities.

Ship status ready, all departments are a go. Waiting for orders to disengage docking clamps.

::taps buttons and you can hear the clamps releasing the ship::

Shields took a hit from the attacks we took, but we manage to reroute what we can ::receives the sample:: Thanks. If they aren't alreay producing it here , they certainly could.

Well I was going to have Robinson install this fusion power unit but I guess I'll have to do it.

I did not say that. But if we can avoid engaging in a fight then that is preferred.

I'm sure we'll do our best but that may not be entirely possible. It feels like every time we find Jem'Hadar they're shoot on sight.

::grabs one of the spare cables and uses a coupling device to basically weld it together:: Be safe Danah, no more Starfleet casualties.

::returns with two different types of power junction coupler, three water junction couplers, and an unrecognizable thing that's probably some kind of adapter?:: I think one of these will work

::Follows Danah out of the module and helps look for a spot to lookout from::
