Evening, everyone.

9:30 PM

MISSION BRIEF: En route to an M-class world, Ptisias IV, in the Beardmore Expanse, the Excalibur was struck by a subspace wave. Drifting dead in space, the crew is currently working desperately to restore power to the ship. Engineering and Security have worked out a system to redistribute blown isolinear chips to all decks to hopefully restore the system outage.

William was elbows deep in a console, rearranging isolinear chips. “Jeez, this is a mess.”

Wade sees the process of moving out isolinear chips is moving smoothly

Irene's trying to get power going to the sensor array so they can figure out what the hell's going on outside.

On the bridge frowning

“Reynolds! Where we at?” William looked behind him to see where his assistant was.

ACTION> With ISO chips installed in the upper decks, the power flickers on. Irene's sensor array reboots, but with serious blind spots

+Rex+ Sir, we've got things moving with engineering. Where do you need me?

"Hey, we've got power!" Irene yells, then crawls out of one of the bridge jeffries tubes, lugging an emergency toolbox behind her.

:: Enters the bridge :: "Ahh, getting up here was such a pain. Is anyone hurt?"

Rex> +Wade+ we’ve got stuff covered it’s just gonna to take time. stay with engineering and help them

+Rex+ Aye sir

Alright let’s see what we’re looking at. A subspace shockwave of that magnitude doesn’t just happen on its own.

to Talia I'm going to head back to main engineering if you've got things under control here.

Ens Reynolds> Hey! We're showing power restored to the upper decks... kinda.

Ens Talia> Yea, we're good. Thanks for the help, rope jockey.

"Hah! That's a new one"

Irene dusts her uniform off, un-ruffling her shirt, and makes her way to the science station. "All right, let's see what we've got... not enough power to see much with the long-range sensors but I've got the navigation sensors up."

"Subspace shockwave? Did it exit into normal space?"

Ens Reynolds> Well, let's not jinx it.

Cdr Jalen Stanton> Navigation sensors is something. Let's see what the short range shows.

"I wanna know if we're gonna slam into a planet or something, c'mon." Val helpfully chimes in.

+Bridge+ “Chocox to Bridge, how are we looking?”

Ens Reynolds> Uh... chips. We've got them spreading out to the lower decks as we speak.

Irene taps her console, which goes from angry error beeping to the normal activity beeping. "All right, powering on the sensors. This shouldn't blow any of those chips they've installed..."

Cdr Jalen Stanton> +Will+ Looks like we have partial power. Systems are booting. Sensors are still short range only. Something you can do about that?

William looks around at the various consoles and panels that are open. +Stanton+ “Uh…we’re working our way through everything. Give me a moment and I’ll see what we can do.” He looks over at Reynolds. “Reynolds! Where are we on long range sensors?”

Ens Reynolds> Sensors? Ah, let me take a look. ::scoots over to tappy tap::

“Thank you.” He tapped his communicator again. +Stanton+ “I have top men looking over the sensors sir.”

Ens Reynolds> ::snickers::

“It’s a reference, Reynolds.”

ACTION> Irene gets an alert on sensors just before another subspace wave hits the ship.

"Let's see what's outside... brace! Helm, 305 mark 3! Wave!" She yells...

ACTION> The ship gets hit and goes tumbling. Wade, Indaura, & Irene go flying. With the ship upside down, gravity goes offline.

"Ah shiiiiiiiii"

:: Flies through the air :: "Ahh!" :: hits :: "oof!"

grabs hold of first attached to a surface thing he sees

William Star Trek shimmies as gravity fails. “Well, this is suboptimal.”

Irene's at least able to react faster with a little advance notice, saving herself from getting seriously hurt. She's holding onto a structural support like a pull-up bar, nowhere near the science station.

Ens Reynolds> ::manages to hang on, but is soon floating::

"Ow"

"Everyone okay?"

“Yes, who’s not dead, sound off.”

Cdr Jalen Stanton> ::Clinging to his chair:: Everyone sound off. Any injuries?

Starts grabbing flee floating chips and putting them back into boxes

Val is somehow still seated at the helm, which is currently on the ceiling. "Console held me in place, Commander. Y'all oughta try having seats sometime."

"This is why zero-g maneuver training is still mandatory"

Ens Reynolds> ::reading the console upside down:: Dampners are offline! Obviously.

Grabs a free floating Ensign to pull them back to a handhold

Cdr Jalen Stanton> Why don't we have seat belts again?

quietly to Chocox "What are the odds of a subspace wave happening like this twice, naturally?"

William turned towards Reynolds. “That’s also not great.” He then turned towards Jericho and spoke quietly. “I’m not a scientist, but it’s highly unlikely.”

Val> "One of the Romulan War treaties, I think."

"Yeah, and if it's not natural, then it's probably not accidental. I don't want to cause a panic but we might need weapons soon."

Irene> "Get the power back. We need to know if another one's going to hit us." She pushes off toward the back of the bridge to see if anything's still working.

Cdr Jalen Stanton> Well, it needs to be reevaluated. +Will+ What's the damage down there? We're in desperate need of thrusters, gravity, and long range sensors.

William gives him a glare. “I’m aware. But we need to remain alive.” +Stanton+ “We’re all floating down here. I’m going to do my best.”

Sighs at being misunderstood yet again "Right, I'll go help with sensors."

Rex> +Wade+ Jericho, what's your current location?

+Rex+ Just left main engineering sir.

Rex> +Wade+ Get up to the bridge and get me a status update.

:: Only now regaining her composure and getting up ::

+Rex+ Aye sir, I'll comm you when I get there.

"Another wave hit us and some of us were tossed about, myself included."

"How're you feeling?"

Cdr Jalen Stanton> Status is unknown. Something out there hit us twice, and I can't think that's a coincidence.

"Feeling very upside-down."

"Understandable."
