MISSION BRIEF: En route to an M-class world, Ptisias IV, in the Beardmore Expanse, the Excalibur was struck by a subspace wave. Drifting dead in space, the crew is currently working desperately to restore power to the ship.

"Okay. Here's hoping nobody senior yells at me too much for this."

Ens Reynolds> ::starts putting out the word::

+Security+ "This is Ensign Jericho to all Security teams, anyone not involved in life saving activity report to Engineering immediately to assist Engineering." (edited)

"I'll start heading up to storage and run some rope up. The iso chips are in carry crates, right?"

“Thank you guys. And yes, they should be.”

"ill lower them down. Hopefully we can restore systems that let us distribute chips faster soon.

Rex> +Wade+ What's this about needing extra hands, Jericho? What's going on down there?

“Well, here comes the shouting.”

+Rex+The warp core is fine sir, but we've got a mass burn out in our circuitry

+Rex+ Engineering needs all hands to get power running again.

Wade has rope looped over his shoulder and has begun climbing as he speaks.

Rex> +Wade+ Understood. Expect extra hands incoming.

+Rex+ Yes sir.

+Bridge+ "Medical is running on backups, only a few injuries."

ACTION> In a very short time, Engineering is overrun with extra hands from security and science and all the Ensigns they could handle.

Cdr Jalen Stanton> +Indaura+ Acknowledged, Doctor. How are the injuries in Engineering?

“Oh boy. Alright, folks, position yourselves in this fashion.” William starts pointing to where he needs people. “As power gets restored, we’ll be able to release you to other areas.”

Wade moves through the darkened storage area to locate the chips

"And now I find out if the Ensigns in charge of logistics did their jobs"

Ens Reynolds> No! You lot, over here like the Chief said! Yes, you're going into the JTs. ::bossing around the ensigns::

“Thank you Reynolds. Yes! The Jeffries Tubes are being used! Get your physical training time in!”

Ens Talia> ::screams as she almost runs into Wade in the pitch-black storage area:: Hey! Don't go sneaking up on people!

"Sorry Talia"

"We need iso chips. Lots of 'em"

Action> All the borrowed crew were bumbling around, but eventually got the gist of their orders and began to make a line of bodies in the JTs on each level.

William watched another group of security ensigns in the wrong spot. “No, no, no, over here! We need space, otherwise you may as well hand each other one chip at a time.”

Ens Talia> Thank the stars you have a light. I've been stuck in the dark forever. ::she frowned:: What size chips?

+Chocox+ Sir, I've got Ensign Talia here. What size iso chips should we prioritize?"

+Jericho+ “Largest ones first. I’ll let you know when I have enough.”

"Aye sir"

to Talia "We'll start with the biggest you've got."

Ens Talia> Ah, okay... they're a few rows over, but several bays up. How comfortable are you using heavy equipment in the dark?

"Not terribly, but uh, duty calls."

Wade hands her his light.

“How are we looking Reynolds?”

Ens Talia> ::she took the light and led the way over through the maze of storage crates. When they reached the right rack, she shone the beam three rows up.:: We'd normally use the auto-unloaders, but those are tied to the main.

(Any chance Wade would be able to just climb up and remove those manually?)

Ens Reynolds> ::sighs as another group disappears into the JTs.:: Well, everyone should be in place shortly and awaiting orders, sir.

(Sure, though it's several giant crates.)

“Thanks.”

"Do we have any unpowered alternatives, or am I really testing my climbing skills today?"

(He could Crack them open and start unloading from the rack, if he wanted)

Ens Talia> Uh, there's a manual lift, but I haven't been trained on it. It's at the end of the row.

"Neither have I. Tell you what. I'm going to climb up there and pass down the smaller bits to you."

Ens Talia> Okay! Let me grab a cart. I know how to use those, at least. ::runs off with the light, leaving Wade in the dark::

" Great. Then we'll run them over to the turbolifts shaft and lower them down to the folks in Engineering. Rinse and repeat until there's a better way to do this?"

He shouts after her.

Ens Reynolds> Sir, do we need to send people up to help Jericho?

+Bridge+ "What happened exactly?"

to himself "Do I try to handle too much myself? Nah."

“Probably a good idea. Shift people around so that the daisy chain reaches.”

Wade starts climbing as soon as Talia is back with his light. Of all the days to not be carrying his backup backup light!

Ens Talia> ::rumbles back to Wade, two lights bobbing:: Got the cart! And another light!

"Good thinking. Up I go! Hup! Hup"

Cdr Jalen Stanton> +Indaura+ We still aren't certain. We were hit with a subspace wave, but our sensors are dead, so we don't know where it came from.

Ens Reynolds> ::hurries back to shift people around::

Cracks open the big crates to lower the smaller carryable crates

Ens Talia> ::has the racks and crates ready, waiting to catch what Wade sends down::

"Heads up!"

as he continues to gently lob crates* "You alone in this section Talia?"

Ens Talia> ::catches:: Ooof! Yes, at the moment!

Ens Talia> ::after hearing a general commotion echoing off the walls:: Hey! Anybody else in the racks?! Follow the lights! We need help over here!

+Chocox+Sir, did you send people our way? We've found the chips and are about to run the first load back.

+Jericho+ “Yes we did. We wanted the daisy chain to be closer to you.”

+Chocox+ Thanks, I think they're almost here. This should go quickly. (edited)

Action> Footsteps sound closer and light bob in the darkness toward Wade. A handful of greenies arrive looking lost and confused.

Ens Talia> ::stacks up the crates on the cart::

"Alright, listen up! We need to run these crates quickly and safely back to the turbolift and lower them down to the waiting teams in Engineering. Set out your lights on the path back so people can walk safely with both hands occupied. If you're not sure where to go or what to carry, ask Ensign Talia." (edited)

(sorry, lightning coming through)

"And for Medical's sake, don't fall in!"

Ensign> Lifts are stuck between here and Engineering. So Chief told us to run these through the JTs. We've got it!

"Good, get to it!"

Ens Talia> Set up your lights on the path to show the way! Here... start with these.

Action> Various helping hands start toting carts to the JTs and down to engineering.
