Hey folks,

Simple enough....yet another poll on another Star Trek: Enterprise episode. :)

For those not recalling, this is the episode from this week (308) showing "A spatial distortion leaves Archer unable to form any new long-term memories. Years in the future, he wakes up one morning and is stunned to learn the outcome of the human-Xindi conflict."

Personally, I think this is one of the best episodes this entire season. In fact, I honestly haven't seen such good writing and acting from Trek in a very long time. Following "The Shipment" last week, I'm really starting to see a solid turn in the writing quality from the show. It's actually starting to look like and act like Star Trek.

I was impressed by the special effects, speed of the story, resolution, etc. It just fascinates me to a "what if" situation. At a time we know the Federation is supposed to be already established, Archer's failed and destroyed the future as we know it. Just thought it was really amazing. :)

Seems many people also enjoyed it, as the episode has tied for the best Nielsen rating for this season. Not saying they don't still need to improve, but it seems possible this show is following the pattern of it's counterparts. All Star Trek shows take several seasons to get on their feet....then really get rolling. Here's hoping that's the case!

Personally I think it was too out there for me come on T'pol had a pony tail like come on whats up with that. All sillyness aside I think it was too much like one of the those time travel Voyager shows I can't say I liked it because I didn't because its too out there like that whole getting infected with parasite that are in sigalure space come on thats just crazy talk. :)

Ohhh you know me and a good temporal twisty brain teaser. I loved it.

I couldn't help but notice that they probably stole the memory snapshots from "Momento," but the parasites and time paradox were original enough for me. I also love stranded-island themes, and this had that too. ::sigh:: There is hope for Trek. :)

Hey there,

Well...two things. First, my local UPN stations shows the show on it's regular time....Wednesdays @ 8:00pm ET and then again Sunday @ 10:00pm.

One thing I didn't pick up on until rewatching the episode (a relative hadn't seen it), was that did you notice what planet "humanity" used as their new home? Ceta Alpha 5? Name ring a bell? :)

Is it just me or does T'pol look better with a pony tail?

Hey there,

Well, I kind of think you won't see that hair style again anytime soon. I'm guessing the only reason she had it was due to spending nine years as the "in house nurse" for Archer.

I thought it was kind of weird at the beginning of the episode because who would know that with an energy burst he could change time and save earth.

I *did* notice the planet name and thought it a nice detail.

As for the ponytail, I think it was partly to show time had passed, but moreso that t'Pol had adapted some traits of Humanity after embracing them for twelve more years.

T'pol also looked weird in Archer's uniform it really didn't seem to match her at all :)

Oh and another thing about Twilight Reed's goatee looked so incredibly fake and Trip looks like a goof in gray hair like that :)

Hey there,

I have to disagree, completely! I think the makeup honestly made them all look as if nine years had passed. I thought the beard looked quite realistic and was "within character." Just me. :)

By far one of the best Enterprise Episodes I have been able to watch. Alternate reality temporal epi's tend to fascinate me and can, when properly deliver produce quatility episodes . This episode was heavily EFX driven as well making it cool to watch too. Appreciated more attention given to other Earth Vessels we saw briefly in earlier episodes.

From an engineering standpoint..I found it fascinating that the NX-01 was able to maintain warp (well 1.7 I think ) with one nacelle severely damaged. Will keep that in mind for sims.
