MISSION BRIEF: While exploring the strange and mysterious underground bunker, the crew has been contacted by a telepathic entity of unknown origin. With only their own voices once more in their heads, they're now confronted with yet another set of doors to explore. Oooooh.

"I'm getting reeeeal sick of these mysterious doors." Irene looks for whatever opens this set of doors.

Wade is also opening the doors

“Well, the only way out is through, no?”

"Also not a fan of mystery entities touching our brains."

"It was trying to tell you to quit eating those ancient rations."

“Oh come on. What’s the harm in eating them?”

"If they're properly preserved? Nothing."

"If not, well....how do you feel about the fungus among us?"

ACTION> These doors aren't locked and open easily with the touch pad to the side. There are 3 doors and each looks identical.

William looks over Wade’s shoulder as Wade opens door number one.

ACTION> Behind the door is a spherical room made of a dark obsidian-like stone that emitted a low hum.

“That’s not ominous.” (edited)

"Well that's an agony matrix if I've ever seen one."

Does the material the spherical room is made of look like the trackballs on the consoles at all?

“A what?”

Irene whips out her tricorder. "Okay, let's look for anything dangerous... see if that hum corresponds to anything..."

"Security injoke, don't worry about it."

:: Listening ::

ACTION> The hum grows softer, then louder, then soft again in no particular pattern. The material on the walls is unlike anything they've seen in the bunker so far. There are no other doors in the room, but there is a glowing silvery mass floating in the center.

"Yeah, I don't trust that not to be dangerous. Anyone have any bright ideas?" (edited)

Wonder what this room'spurpose can be?

Could be a weird energy source, could be the source of our brain visitor, could be some weird third thing.

“No clue, but I say we go to the next door.”

"Lets see whats behind Door number 2."

She shakes her head. "Maybe door number 2 will tell us more."

Seems like we will try them all, unless door two leads us out.

“Fingers crossed.” (edited)

ACTION> Behind door #2 is a massive room of floor to ceiling shelving units, each holding a countless number of crystal cubes. Small drones moved up and down the units, picking cubes and shelving others. There is another door visible at the end of the long, narrow room.

“Oh hey, another door.”

Wade scans the drones to make sure they're only for carrying cubes around.

"I wonder what the point of moving the cubes around is? Some sort of iso chip equivalent?"

“Oh…that’s a good idea.”

"Could be." Irene tries to scan cubes as they go by. "I don't think they'll appreciate me trying to grab one, though..."

Wade nods "Prudent*

“We might get another mental visit.”

ACTION> The drone scans show they're drones and not much more. They appeared to be slotting the cubes into themselves and then returning them a few moments later. Irene's scans show a MASSIVE amount of data on those cubes, but nothing that can be read or deciphered by the tricorder.

"This part of the facility seems a lot more active overall than the rest."

"Good guess, definitely data storage... with all the data on there, it could be related to the mental visitations..."

“Well then.” William looks at some of the drones as they go. “Beautiful bit of engineering…”

"Yeah I'm leaning more and more to 'psychic computer'"

"Time for door number 3!"

"We really need more resources to study all this properly."

“Door number three or the door at the end of this room?”

"Might as well see what's behind door number 3 before we keep going."

"Number 3. We want to see if it dead ends or not."

“Fair.”

"And while I'm wishing, maybe a universal translator update and a concise explanation of the facility and its purpose."

“If wishes were fishes.”

ACTION> Door # 3 opens into a boring, plain looking room in a neutral gray with no special features or strange happenings. It was empty except for 3 more doors.

“Oh joy, four doors to choose from now.

Wade just morosely shakes his head.

"This is the most suspicious room yet." (edited)

"I feel like a search-and-rescue bot." Irene checks if those doors have the same pads as the others.

Wade scans the room to make sure it's not some kind of murder trap.

ACTION> It is absolutely not a murder trap. Not at all. The doors look the same as the previous ones and have the same key pads.

Now if I was paranoid, I'd pull everyone out and phaser the door shut.

Instead I'm gonna try opening these here doors.

Are we going to keep on going through doors like this. Who's to say it won't be just like this where the last door is another room with three doors?

“Well, we do need to get out of here.”

Well if we see that then we can always turn around.

"I think our mental friend is screwing with us."

"And maybe start doing more damage to our surroundings."

(Yes, just a quick reminder that you aren't trapped in here, and you can always turn around, retrace your steps, and go back to the surface room where Jalen & Clark are waiting. This exploration is all optional.)

Wade's slapping those door controls like their those big sacks of stuff at the back of the WalMart

“How about you don’t die?” William follows him in.

ACTION> Behind door # 1.2 is a spherical room made of a dark obsidian-like stone that emitted a low hum and a glowing metallic mass floating in the center. #2.2 contains a giant crystal library with working drones. #3.2 is a boring, empty room with 3 more doors and nothing else.

“Waaaaaaaait a minute.”

"Nope. ummhmm. Absolutely not."

“We’re turning around.”

"Back out we go."

ACTION> Going back through the door leads to a boring room with 3 doors. And the each door is the same as what they've seen. The door they entered when they first heard the telepathic entity is strangly missing.

“Damnit…”

"Damnit."

“We’re lost again.”

"Well, I have a theory on how the entrance disappearing to be replaced by rocks worked."

“Yeah?”

"It's ing with our brains."

"What if we're cubes?"

"Also we might be cubes."

((Someone turned off the safeties.))
