U.S.S. MANTICORE BRIEFING #1315 STARDATE 52506.09

Manticore has been asked to investigate a spontaneous gaseous anomaly. Upon closer inspection, it appears the particle structure is quite complex raising the need for further study. However, many of the crew have suddenly become ill and the ship is malfunctioning. Chief Jaenke has discovered the cause of the malfunctions and it's the new bio-neural gel packs that are the culprit, having become sick just like the crew. Meanwhile, Doctor Tevek has realized the severity of the virus. And that if we can find a cure soon, there may not be a crew left.

TBS was immediate and everyone should now begin feeling the effects of the virus. (edited)

In my opinion, not really. We'd need a spacedock and lots of time.

While engineers are smart, sometimes they lack the forethought of what it takes to fix stuff when things go wrong and then it's up to the grease monkeys to figure it out.

Captain, a small development. Further analysis has me concluding that this pathogen is not natural. It had to have been made in a lab, the indicators of engineering are present and... it's the only thing that makes sense with the data.

+McFly+ It appears that this virus was designed or modified to be a weapon. It is specifically targeting the genomes of the Manticore crew...including the gel packs. That's why it has been so fast acting.

A9 changes us to Special Ops many years ago. We're acknowledged but our missions are heavily classified and we don't do anything that is intended to break the prime directed or etc like S31 does. We're like the inbetween of legit and covert.
