Space Port Aegis - Fridays 10 ET - Command Staff: (CO) Captain Sylfaen, (XO) Nijil tr'Korjata

We left off having picked up an escape pod from the alien. It's two passangers have been beamed down to Aegis medical, both in serious condition. Those still on Aethena are looking over the strange design of the escape pod.

Odd there's not much computing power that I can see.

Not necessarily a bad choice for an escape pod. As much power to sustain life support for as long as possible.

(on Aegis) Good. I won't feel completely at ease until everyone is back from Athena.

From what I can tell, Dacia, is that they have been drugged for quite some time.

They were probably placed in the pod, rather than going in of their own volition.

(on Aegis) Yes. Emergencies are not normal for me, different kind of medical.

I'd expect some interface processor.

(on Athena) I think the occupant was the processing power.

Probably or they somehow escaped or even let go.

(on Athena) That may be out of my scope.

::to her patient:: Hello. If you're able, can you tell me what happened?

That will be a question for the doctors. But it is possible the pilot makes up much of the control systems.

There's just too many missing systems even for an escape pod.

I do agree that much of the processing may have been the occupants. But lacking interface processors is something to investigate.

Maybe they really don't care if those on the pod make it or not - just shoot them into space if there's even a slight cha...

That would have been picked up by the transporters.

::notes her patient is barely conscious and continues treating and scanning::

+Mimi+ Doctor. We are investigating the escape pod. There is a question if the patients have any sign of infectious pathogens or anything else that might contaminate those who are near them.

I was going to recommend moving the pod down to Aegis, but it is better here until we make sure it is clear.

It may not be, but with all of us recognizing the oddity of the escape pod, it's worth considering if it's more or less intended to send its passengers off to infect those they expect to intercept/rescue.

(on Aegis) :: goes to a console to check the overall condition of the base's crew ::

ACTION: One of the patients begins mumbling what the translator takes as random numbers, as they face in and out.

If the pod could be well-isolated, it'd be worth considering.

+Sylfaen+ So far there are no infectious pathogens nor has anything shown for contamination. We are running continuous scans given that we're trying to figure out what has happened to them. ::looks at her patient who happens to be mumbling:: Stand by Captain one of the patients is mumbling and it seems to be numbers from what the translator has picked up.

::starts jotting down the numbers::

(on Aegis) All seems well, I should see if they need help with the new patients.

(brb)

::to the patient:: If you can hear me, tell me again what those numbers are.

(on Aegis) :: Scrubs in and observes the patients from a distance ::

ACTION: The patient doesn't seem to acknowledge anything.

::scans her patient again::

::notices the lack of acknowledgment:: Was hoping we could get more, but I guess this is better than nothing.

+Sylfaen+ Captain I have some numbers, I don't know if they're coordinates or some type of code, but the numbers are 5-1-9-4-6-8

It would be interesting to input those numbers into the pod. But, I have no intention of plugging anyone into it, to do such a thing.

ACTION: The Other patient seems to be stabilizing, falling into a more stable sleep like state.

(on Aegis) zAny response at all doctors?

Not as such, I’d say.

::Nijil:: Can we prepare an isolated hanger to inspect this pod at Aegis?

:: to Sylfaen :: I don't see why not. I'll call down.

::Muuhi:: This patient is incoherant and alive, but still in serious condition. That one is stabilizing, looks like their sleeping now.

+Aegis+ Korjata here. I need engineering to prepare hanger three for an isolated drop of an escape pod.

+Nijil+ I'll get a team going on it.

+Nijil+ I'll need to ask for an update. I'm not in medical.

+Jylliene+ One patient is still serious, was mumbling numbers which I gave to Captain Sylfaen. The other patient has stabilized and is sleeping at the moment.

Nothing critical - the usual post-mission work.

I was hoping to feel something because of how I was...created, but I felt nothing being next to those two.

::wasn't aware that putting the patients anywhere near the pod was even under consideration...?::

::steps nearer to Kelsa:: I hope we can finally learn something from them or this pod. We still have the rest of that fleet to consider. And some time before any support from Starfleet might arrive.

+Nijil+ We're ready for the pod anytime you are. How will the pod be brought to the hangar?

I would not try to transport that.

We are taking it down with our shuttle.

We pick up with the pod secured in an isolated hanger, some of us get a short nap, and then back to the investigation.

Next week is Good Friday. If anyone has other plans let me know. I will update soon if our plans might cause any conflicts with the sim.

Sounds like the tractor would be Dacia's domain.
