Any estimate how long before they might regain warp drive?

I would say hours, but we don't know enough about their systems to get an accurate timeframe

Action: an escape pod launches from the alien ship

(Athena) We have a launch inco- wait. It's an escape pod.

Full scan of that pod. Is it safe to intercept?

(Athena) A standard escape pod. I don't see why not.

Transport the whole thing into the shuttle Bay.

(Athena) Transporting now.

Let's see what we got. :: turns to exit the bridge::

(Athena) :: Folloes Sylfaen ::

:: steps into the shuttle Bay. The pod sits there, looking scorched from combat:: (edited)

(Athena) It looks, not new exactly.

::pulls out her tricorder::

(Athena) Seems rather shielded against scans.

Like their ship.

But, I think I can detect some type of life sign

:: Starts helping with patients :: The kids were okay, even if Annisha was a bit to eager to take a look.

::finishes up with her last patient and is glad that some of them could be released back to their quarters::

Mm. I’d imagine Alexis was pretty curious too.

Action: there's a hiss from the pod as the hatch unseals

::smiles and continues to work on her patient::

(Athena) :: Gets his phaser out ::

Action: the hatch opens. A roughly humanoid shape emerges carrying another. Both look pale and like they just escaped from a hospital. Tubes, bandages, and other devices still attached

:: Surprises some younger patients not expecting a feline ::

(Athena bay) What is going on?

Halt. Identify your..... :: before she could finish the figure collapses to the floor::

(Athena) Medical is on their way.

(Athena Medic) ::rushes over::

Get them to sickbay.

(Medic)::nods and rushes them off to medical::

:: steps over to a wall comm:: +bridge+ we have wounded in the pod that probably need attention back on Aegis. Drop a probe to follow that ship and set course back to the planet

Basic components for the most part.

I don't think the atmospheric systems were online though.

The tail is real. :: someone behind her pulls it, she lightly swats the child ::

Very little in the way of control interfaces.

(Athena) :: Pokes his head inside :: This raises more questions than answers.

Action: Athena enters orbit and signals Aegis to prepare to receive 2 patients beamed director to sickbay

:: Hears the alert for a beamdown ::

I'm seeing thruster ports, control surfaces, and interlinked systems but no direct controls.

::hears an emergency beamdown alert for two:: Alright let's quickly get set up

::sends acknowledgement of notification:::

Action: patients beamed to sickbay

All right ::helps get things set up more::

::starts scanning the patients::

What happened to these people?

That's what we're trying to figure out.

(Athena) I think they were connected to these controls, would explain those tubes.

There's something attached to the seat. :: turns it over to see rough circuits with hundreds of needles sticking out covered in blood::
