Ok, I'll do this from my phone while troubleshooting the laptop

so... last time on USS Arcadia -- the Novato crew on Arcadia were killed and the Novato itself was destroyed. Arcadia is missing some quantum torpedos... which is kinda sus. Meanwhile, we think we lost a few hours of time, but there isn't any record of it on our higher level systems....

Even if there weren't signatures in the torpedo room, we can fire from the bridge, engineering, or any computer where command control functions were redirected

Captain, we ran a scan on the weapons room log, and there's a 5% corruption rate. I'm not an engineer, but from what I've studyied on data security, I'd expect 1-2% normally. That points to tampering in my opinion

That's true. Also, they may have wiped the torpedo logs, but they didn't think of the torpedo hatch maintenance logs. It's pretty clear from these logs that there were several hatch openings during the lost time.

Let's look all over the ship. Not just the torpedo room. Maybe someone was using the hatches the move around

should we scan the jeffries tubes for biosignatures?

Couldn't hurt.

Are internal sensors functioning now without data corruption?

Send the security teams with tricorders. If the computer was tampered with, maybe every tricorder on the ship wasn't.

Meanwhile, set the ship on yellow alert. We don't know if there is an intruder, but if there is, it would be better if we were at a defensive stance

Scan it... any reason we wouldn't have picked it up before?

They probably had to use maintenance access for some of this deleting...root access attempts are usually logged and transmitted back to Starfleet. Maybe the subspace transceiver would still have those logs in its buffer.

There is a great deal of sensor data here.

Sec person> ::arrives on the bridge:: here are the tricorder results. we've found the biosignatures of 4 humanoids that are not accounted for either as members of the Arcadia or the Novato's crew

Aligning the timecodes so the computer can create a complete picture can take time.

How old are the biosignatures? Are they recent or from the missing time?

Hmm, they are all from the missing span of time.

Can we still identify what lifeforms they were?

sec> I think so, though we'll have to analyze the scans further

If we can still find lifeforms, what about residual EM from transporters?

If we combine all of the different sensors together for that time period, we should have a good guess.

Which secondary systems do have logs?

Our scans can detect skeletal frameworks, temperature profiles, and locomotion patterns.

I'll have to check...I think the replicator logs survived, maybe the holodeck...

maybe the TLs and the backup generator logs also survived

And apparently some backup scanner systems

Can we at least piece together where the intruders went during those 2 hours?

if we triangulate all the logs we should be able to put together a picture of what happened

You know, I'm getting the impression that, assuming they brought an engineer, they weren't responsible for cleaning up these logs. This is pretty sloppy.

It did take some digging to realize we had the logs.

Yes, and a proper engineer would've done that digging.

Whatever it is, they did it between destroying a ship and killing its crew

I think there was something distracting the engineer they brought from the task of covering their tracks...maybe issues with overriding the weapons systems...

And they gained command access to our systems, the same access we were locked out of
