We left off discovering a large station in the nebula and something going on between it and a substance in the nebula. The same substance found placed underneath Aegis.

We now try to get as much info as we can while still being able to get away and use that knowledge.

Gathering everything we can passively. Active will give away our location, so I recommend active sensors only if we're going to immediately follow with a hasty retreat.

Every minute is pushing it. Were this a black ops mission, I'd be starting to seriously weigh the "get out quietly and bring back all our info" versus the "wait and try for more but risk a fight".

Especially as we need to consider that, whatever the validity of their claims to their own space, we are indeed violating that. I consider that worthwhile given that they never did answer to their own infringement upon our colony and attack on our vessel - but it's worth keeping in mind.

Assuming we have no trouble getting out of the dense wall around that station, can we make it the rest of the way under cloak. Or, is speed a better option?

Hm. Given the request made us by the vessel in the nebula, I'd stay cloaked. Try to keep ourselves as undetected as possible. If there's any hint that we are being pursued, we can get the speed on.

That said... Helm, increase to maximum advisable speed for our course and condition.

Shouldn't be much longer now, I recon.

ACTION: Athena pushes itself through the dense gasses hiding the alien station.

::continues to look through the information they've gathered::

ACTION: One ship undocks from the alien station and begins to move out in the same general course as Athena.

Maintain pace. Switch vectors to best for maintaining cloak. Let's try to ensure we're dropping back out of sight and not following a predictable route. We'll watch what that ship does.

Any hint they're following, and we pick up the pace and evasives to the least dense route through the nebula as possible.

ACTION: Athena moves into a clearer section of the nebula.

ACTION: Alien ship pushes itself clear of the thick gasses and turns into a standard vector leading out of the nebula.

I still would like to know more about it's crew, but that would be risking too much right now.

Right now, we need to be sure Starfleet gets the info we do have. I'm happy to provide some intimidation, but between the new colony from Aegis and the existing colony, Starfleet should probably get some planning done for how to deal with this and keep the colonies safe.

::Dacia:: This information is something else.

ACTION: Athena clears the nebula.

Best course home. Stay under cloak until we're at standard approach distance.

ACTION: The Alien ship also exits the nebula.

Steady. Tac, let's keep an eye on where that ship goes. Otherwise, proceed as directed. Cloaked and best course home at best speed.

(base) I don't see them.

My apologies for the probable disruption of your anticipated nap, Captain.

(base) I am a Rihan and an engineer. I know what to look for with regards to cloaks...which in itself in concerning.

ACTION: 17 additional ships exit the nebula.

(would we see these on scanners?)

That...is concerning. Helm, stay cloaked, evasive. Let's be sure they can't know right where we are. Then top speed home.
