MIISION BRIEF: Excalibur has arrived and docked at the science station in orbit of Erebus-76. The senior staff (that u) have been invited to a little get together on the station with their senior staff (like 4 officers) and the science nerds, along with the crew of an Orion vessel that is also docked at the station.

ACTION> They are holding the get together in the station's main lounge, which is about the size of a normal cafeteria or something. It is tastefully decorated and several of the science folks are playing classic earth music (the first selection is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy2zDJPIgwc ). There is a lovely spread in the center of the room.

Illysa> The strikingly handsome, if not slightly boyish and scantily clad Orion Captain spots the Excalibur crew and saunters over drink in hand. He was extremely slightly built for an Orion male and had his long black hair tied in a series of braids that ran down his exposed back.

“I heard uh… what’s her name, Leah Brahms, the engine designer, she has it in her contract rider that under no circumstances will Brahms be played at receptions she speaks at.” She gives Will a shrug. “Pressed like a pair of pants in this thing.”

“Same, I had to replicate new ones.”

She imitates the Starfleet computer voice. “Replicator service is currently unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, please find your dress whites from 10 pounds ago.”

Illysa> Nods Though the Orion Astronavigation Guild is small compared to the societies in the Federation, especially the Vulcan Stellar Cartography Institute -- they say an 'association' is illogical -- we're very proud of our achievements! There's always new phenomena to map, or stars to chart. And really, a lot of the older maps were made using outdated methods, and besides stars are kind of always moving anyway.
