U.S.S. MANTICORE BRIEFING #1299 STARDATE 52412.09

Manticore helped to retrieve a prototype starship called the Prometheus from Romulans attempting to steal the technology. Along the way they suffered severe damage and took casualties. Unfortunately, Lt. Banks in CetOps is just learning that his friend, Ensign Ortega, is dead. Unsatisfied by the answers he received, Lt Banks has enlisted the help of Lt Cmdr Annika Sorenson to confirm the report he got from the Captain. Annika then grouped up with Bren and Dr Tevek to perform a separate autopsy on Ortega's body. What they found is not what was in the report filed by Dr Orrak. However, after being confronted by the Captain, her excuse was due to a form of PTSD from her previous mission.

Meanwhile, Faldek decided to look further into Ortega's whereabouts during the time she was seen alive. He discovered the records had been deleted using Cmdr Jaenke's codes. Faldek attempted to interrogate Jaenke but he collapsed after reporting having been dealing with migraines for some time now. Jaenke was taken to sickbay where nurse Mallory began to treat him. Turns out, Doctor Orrak had been instigating his headaches in an attempt to dull his empathic abilities. The reason being... She is a Changeling. The ship was locked down and stopped but somehow she was able to obtain Commander Faldek's command codes and lock everyone out of the ship and engage it at max warp towards starbase REDACTED. The ship has already started to shudder and there's not much time before pieces start to fly off.
