= Manticore helped to retrieve a prototype starship called the Prometheus from Romulans attempting to steal the technology. Along the way they suffered severe damage and took casualties. Unfortunately some of the ship's crew are just learning about this now. Unsatisfied by the answers he received, Lt Banks has enlisted the help of Lt Cmdr Sorenson to confirm the report he got from the Captain. = starfleet

Ok, I hope you can find closure at least in their findings. They might be lazy, but at least they're willing to go out on a limb to help a fellow crewmaaan.

I do understand it's difficult to do but still feels bad when you're writing the parents of a young twenty something their kid just died before their career even had a chance to begin.

The Aquatic Field Emitter, would in theory generate a field around a Cetacean allowing he or she to swim in bodies of water that might not have the correct temperature.

::enters his quarters, puts down the PADD and sits at his desk, sighs a deep sigh and checks the reports from the department heads concerning the repair efforts, crew morale and other things::

::reading the autopsy report on Ortega; thinks it looks like what one would expect from an engineering explosion...severe burns, head trauma...but it is a rather superficial report...maybe Mr. Banks is right to be suspicious...::

Commander...just from a visual inspection...I am not seeing the severe burns or head trauma that one would expect in the victim of an anegineering explosion. Or that were mentioned in Dr. Orrak's report.

::starts laser scalpel and begins an incision on Ensign Oretga's chest...hoping to determine what actually killed her::

I've done that. I live near an air force testing base and they test bombs not a surprisingly far distance from where I live. Some shockwaves have been known to rock the house.
