::still doing the usual ops stuff; core tests have not hampered operations all day, save for a brief slowdown some time prior::

::finishing up a routine treatment of one of the colonists::

:: Gets up from her chair and heads to medical ::

:: Goes back to his station in the operations deck to get an overview of the base ::

ACTION: Alert sirens trigger across the base. The Computer voice Echos "Emergency Lockdown Procedures Engaged. Level 1 Quarantine in effect" Blast doors slam into place. Shuttle bay hangers close and lock in place. Large containtment bulkheads slide into place sealing medical, engineering, and the Ops up tight. All standard doors lock in place as well.

...the elements...?

::pulling up reports::

Shall I ask medical what the issue is?

:: Finds herself stuck just outside the medical door ::

::goes to a console to investiagate the situation::

ACTION: Computer spitting out a series of biological and radiological signals, as if every dangerous substance possible was suddenly dumped on top of them.

This has to be a glitch.

+Captain+ Level one quarantine. Large list of signals...so large as to be highly unlikely.

::sends out a "to all" message for everyone to scan their location if they happen to have a tricorder to do so and confirm clear::

+Jyl+ We're not picking up anything that should have triggered the quarantine. I'll see if my override can shut this down.

+Med+ Understood.

::enters her override code::

+Captain+ Ops to Captain Sylfaen - Doctor Pavilion is attempting an override.

+Ops+ Nothing on the quicker scans. I'll have to perform a deep dive.

ACTION: Override code accepted. Lockdown recended. And then reactivates.

::Sees the lights go green then back to alert red::

+OPS+ I'd say this is a system glitch.

+med+ Ops to medical. I gathered as much.

+Ops+ Apparently my override failed

It reactivated again. Hmm. ::checks the systems::

:: taps her badge they gave her :: +Medical+ I am just outside the door. Anything I can do to help from here?

+Med+ That or we really do have a massive, unusual contamination.

+Ops+ Anythings possible

+Ops+ Let me look at the logs.

+Captain+ Ops to Captain. Doctor Pavilion was less than successful in the attempt.

::returns to her office door, pops open the access panel::

+Nijil+ What who? Ah. Yes.

::ponders whether the captain may be able to fit THROUGH some of the access panels to get past the door entirely anyhow::

+Ops+ Understood. I'm working my way to Ops. Start working the problem starting with computer programing. See if someone didn't calibrate sensor sensitivity correctly.

+Muuhi+ That could be useful. I'll let you know if I think of something.

::then ponders how bad it would be to just hack through a wall to get out. Since we're still in construction anyhow.::

::pulls up the scans to see what may have triggered the quarantine::

+Captain+ Understood. Starting to check.

Scanning systems are in optimal conditon from what I can tell.

::to Muuhi, through the door:: We're not sure, system glitch?

+Ops+ I don't see anything on my end.

I just want to rule out everything to confirm it's just a glitch.

::disengaged the lock and manages to pry the door between her office and the conference room open::

::nods:: Yes, better safe than sorry. But I'm not detecting any toxic levels anywhere... are you?

+Eng+ Checking calibrations. Seeing if anything went off. Also... just a thought... any change Muuhi is setting something off? It'd be a bit more delayed a reaction than expected, but perhaps some routine thing finally scanned?

We have Muuhi just outside sickbay if we need help from someone on the other side.

::shakes her head:: Nothing.

::begins work on the door between the conference room and Ops::

That's good to know.

+Ops+ You mean something medical scans did not detect? It's possible.

::prys that door open and slips through into ops::

Nothing yet. Nijil's working on things from his end.

+Ops+ A quick way would be to get her away from the base and see if it unlocks, then bring her back again.

Muuhi is outside of medical, but thus not locked in place, and able to wander if we need someone mobile.

::thinks for a moment:: Computer what is the cause of the quarantine?

We're troubleshooting a possible (though unlikely) possible trigger.

+Nijil+ I mean, I don't think it's all that likely, but it's a guess?

+Nijil+ Really? They found nothing in medical, but my mere existence says anything is possible.

Otherwise, not finding much quite yet.

+Ops+ I could physically force the quarantine to unlock, but it takes some time.

+Nijil+ Doctor Pavilion already tried overriding, and it went right back into quarantine nearly instantaneously.

+Jy+ I was thinking at the core level...but that may be cut off as were.

::looks at the list of contaminations as well::

+Nijil+ But if you have a way to override it entirely, remind me to be afraid of engineering. And might be needed eventually. Any of your engineers out and about and able to access the core?

+Jy+ No house built by engineers lacks a backdoor.

:: Looking into the medical window. :: I hope I am not the cause.

I hope so too

+Nijil+ I'm considering killing the main computer network. Subsystems will keep the locks in place but we're more likely to deactivate those without something triggering them again. Your opinion?

+Syl+ Starfleet believes in redundant redundancies, so there is no guarantee. That only leaves the quarantine protocol systems.

ACTION: Cross references do not indicate a singal location. Most of the items are not normally stored on base, those that are could be found in medical, engineering, and science containment areas.

+Nijil+ Give it a try. Make sure vital systems are secure and then pull the network plug.

+Syl+ Going to disconnect the main lines and wireless backups.

+Mimi+ Doctor, we're about to cut the stations main network. We'll be on localized networks. Medical is the most robust in this regard. You'll have to start unlocking the contaiments one system at a time from your location.

Well... other than those in the specific containment areas nothing shows out of the ordinary.

I suppose your matter-energy transport won't work.

+Sylfaen+ understood

:: Signals to his on-duty engineering to get ready to disconnect :: +Ops+ Ready in a few moments.

Maybe not with the quarantine lockdown in place.

+Nijil+ Understood.

+Ops+ We are ready. On your command.

::starts unlocking the containments one system at a time::

ACTION: Screen across the station blink, then come back up in protected mode. Local access only.

ACTION: Systems unlock slowly and so far are not rearming

ACTION: medical clears the door locks.

ACTION: As medicals doors slide open to the shuttlebay, every tricorder and alert system in medical starts blaring alerts.
