USS Arcadia - Wednesdays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain Lo'Ami

Between 7/24/2024 9:03 PM and 7/24/2024 10:01 PM

Last time on USS Arcadia -- an away team beamed down to the planet and started investigating the ancient (and still partially active) weapons. One of the AT NPCs was injured and is now in sickbay not just because of a fall but from some pathogen contracted on the planet. The AT found an old radioactive battery in an underground area. Anything else I missed?

We were also heading out of the building to get checkups.

Natell, get your people sampling and observe the strictest contagion protocols. the rest of us have been lucky so far, but we don't want anyone else getting infected

Contagion protocols for this mission. Please don't touch anything with your hands. Teams of two and scan each other for anything. If there is any breach let me know.

This network is clearly very old...that nuclear battery was nearly half run down.

Could it have been used for more than just protection? what were they protecting?

I assume it was a war of some kind.

Maybe it could have something to do with all the wildlife we're seeing? They seem very large.

scratch> :: the scratch itself is sterilized, some of the bacteria are already moving around in the chief's system ::

Do we need to send him back to the Arc?

Joy> We do. The bacteria moved into his system extremely quickly.

+LoAmi+ We have now had two folks injured by local wildlife. I think we either need reinforcements or a better plan now that we've at least gotten some samples and seen a bit of the planet. which would you prefer?

^Medical>+bridge+ Medical to bridge -- the pathogens that are infecting Ens Smith and Chief McMasters are unlike anything we've seen before. It's like a quickly adapting cocktail. And the bacteria have some viral like properties as well, as if they're integrating into the patients' DNA faster than we can undo it.
