Last we officially left off, we were trying different methods to remove the crystalized areas. We have broken a large section and simply trying to crack and physically remove it. We have a wider beam in the works to spread the fracturing without releasing it in massing earth shaking pulses. We now see how far that can get us.

ACTION: There is the ever growing sound echoing across the settlement. Equipment is hauling off chunks. The drilling and disruption beams zap and hum. Occasional claps of thunder-like sounds ring out as further fractures form. But so far, it seems to be all under control

Looks good so far.

Disposal or neutralization of these crystals will have to be developed at some point. I don't just want to make a million more seeds for a million more of these crystal zones to pop up. That would be rather counter productove.

I wonder what we could do with all this?

Make an amazing house of mirrors.

Oooh, I'm sure the kids would enjoy it.

Let's make sure we're monitoring the air quality around the work sites. Let's account for how much of the crystal is being vaporized into the air.

There is a holographic interface to the portal for diagnostic work.

Possibly. Probably. Maybe not for another million years. But let's be ready just in case we're still around for when it does.

Did I install a holo system in this room?

Fair amount of heat and ionized crystal in the area near the center. Not exactly a healthy environment to send someone to just scout about.

The whole settlement is equipped with holographic systems for aiding design and constructions. But those systems are isolated and will purge any rouge programs thrown into them.

Not much yet, but we're at least able to see that we've about got an opening large enough for Muuhi. She might have to duck a bit, though.

I imagine she won't want to materialize with her head in crystal. Even as a hologram.

As long as the proportions are the same, shouldn't even be noticeable.

Once we access the equipment, we'll need to do a full diagnostic to see if everything is still functional.

From here it will be easy. I will just transfer you when we have the parameters set.

We should probably turn off the beam in the center area. I think we're as large of an area as possible. (edited)

The entry point is in place. Should be no defraction.
