So, we left off focusing our efforts on one of the larger chunks of the crystalized area. Hopefully we won't create another minor earthquake.

Wouldn't widening the beam lower the intensity anyways?

If we don't do anything to this structure is it essentially inert?

Unknown. I believe the creatures who were coping over their own realm onto ours might have done this as a pause button. No clue when they plan to continue.

Or the crystal could be the creature. Who knows?

Possible but I believe it would have tried to defend itself with the damage we've done to it so far.

With the similar crystals we've found, I believe this is a plan that's been ongoing for several eons.

We can only confirm by experimenting. Though, results from a simulation saying we aren't going to blow ourselves up would be helpful.
