Last week I made the call to have Faldek retake command of the ship in the sim. This was the wrong call due to multiple plot points made throughout our story that I failed to factor in. To correct my error I have made the decision to retcon Faldek retaking command returning to Bren and EJ in charge. My apologies to everyone for my sloppiness in the details.

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1264, STARDATE 52404.01 =

= The new Manticore-B was set to receive her new PK module after a lengthy shakedown cruise but the module was intercepted on its way to Starbase -REDACTED-. Manticore has been sent in to investigate. They tracked down the thieves to a space junk yard but subsequently lost the Captain along with the module. Later they uncovered a link to their favorite despicable Ferengi, Mork. Through coercion, he told he was simply a broker for an Admiral Leyton, who is now their number one suspect. After Kansas interrogation of him, she discovered coordinates of the possible location of the module. However, upon crossing into Cardassian space, they picked up a distress comm from Faldek and altered their course. They rescued the party but found themselves in the line of fire from a Cardassian ship. It was destroyed and now they try to finish their mission. Meanwhile, Kansas was reassigned to Presidential security and was able to thwart an assassination attempt at the same time Manticore's module was stolen. A series of picture were sent her way and she learned that a Vorta surgically altered themselves to sneak in as the shooter. Their body has since disappeared. Admiral Jaffee relayed the information about Leyton to Kansas and she tracked down his home. He told her everything which included learning about a faction looking to end Starfleet and one of her more trusted associates is in on it... Lt Ryan. She also discovered the possible location of the module. It proved to be correct. She found the continer that held the module, now empty. But she also found McFly, and not in good shape. She beamed him to her shuttle and went looking for info about the module. In the process found a gang of mercs that she was able to make quick work out of. Back on the shuttle with her intel, she exits the nebula to get Matt some help. Faldek and Gila are now a year into an undercover assignment on Cardassia. The purpose of which the crew has not been notified of. They've met up with Edvenent to search for -REDACTED- but had little success. They became separated but in their new assignments were each able to learn key details about a top secret mission to steal a devastating Federation weapon. This weapon they have yet to find however, they did uncover something just as bad... a new battlecruiser class Jem'Hadar ship. The mission took a turn and all three people were able to escape Cardassia and Faldek was able to send all their data to his informant. They were about to head into Federation space when they were given a new mission. Based on Faldek's intel, SFI believes module and this new ship are linked and they've been sent to recon rendezvous coordinates Gila has obtained. Once they arrived they were ambushed by multiple Cardassian ships. They took out one but waited out the other while hoping someone answered their distress call. Manticore arrived and beamed the three Cardassians on board. But just as quickly, a Keldon class Cardassian ship emerged from inside the nebula. The party returned to Manticore as she took a beating but was able to take down the Cardassian ship. = starfleet

::in sickbay, treating injuries related to the battle with the Cardassian ship::

::checking scans on her terminal::

::Looking at two PADDs in his hands, talking to EJ:: Man, they did some serious damage to parts of the ship

::hears her sensors bleep alerting her to a ship::

::looks at Bren:: They did..currently Engineering is working on the cloak...

:::Hails the Manticore:::

:: is aware Chief Jaenke is working on the warp drive issues as she carefully realigns critical components of the Cloaking device ::

::taps on his console, sends a text message to Harnett at Ops:: Text reads: Coordinate with Engineering to prioritize repairs as efficiently as possible pulling power logically to get it done as best as possible.

::moans a little:: Manticore? Where?

::Hears the chirping from the ops console:: Go ahead and put it on the big screen.

:: Thats what he is doing, but also picks up the hail :: On screen

::Walks back over to McFly:: She back in the nebula we just left.. I just hope the Comm goes through

::stands up::

::stops and looking at the screen::

::glances at the reflection of the viewscreen on the blank terminal screen next to her::

NO. ONE. IS. SUPPOSED. TO. KNOW. WHERE. WE. ARE. How is this the [Redacted] Manticore Reunion trip?! Is Jaffee giving out our coordinates like cocktail appetizers?

::taps on his console and opens shuttle bay 1's doors::

::kicks off his boots and lays down long ways on his couch with the PADD, catching up on the last years reports::

:::Moves shuttle into Shuttle bay 1, and lands clumsily with a screeech and a thud::

+security+ Report to Shuttlebay 1 and escort them to Sickbay until we can confirm that is the patient is who we believe it is. (edited)

:: slides out from under the assembly with a part and proceeds to a nearby work station ::

::retrieves stretcher from supply room, grabs medkit, and has a nurse come with him- then exits towards the shuttlebay::

:::Grabs her bag and Pops the hatch:::

::walks into the shuttlebay to greet KK and the Captain::

::moans in pain from the rough landing inside the shuttle bay:: Ugh, remind me to assign you some piloting lessons.

:: takes a seat and runs a diagnostic on the last Federation part....the results are obvious....causing Callista to frown ::

::tries to look over at what Kansas is doing:: Kansas, I highly doubt Manticore has been taken over by changelings in the time since I've been gone.

::heads over to McFly and begins to scan him with medical tricorder:: Captain. It is agreeable to see you again.

Doc! ::moans having moved too quickly:: Didn't think I'd be so happy to see a Doctor

+ Bridge + Lt Tyrel Here. My initial survey of the Damage to the Cloaking Device is complete.. The Damage to the Cloaking Device is in the Romulan Derived Components of the Apparatus.

+ Bridge + The Documentation, Chief Jaenke signed me off to view dictates on in the absense of Romulan Components should a Hi Grade Replication should take place..and even then most likely the device will not function optimally. Essentially without Romulan Parts, our cloak will be ineffective.

::to Tevek:: Once we get to Sickbay, you can give him a test to ensure its the Captain and we can get out of your hair..

+ Bridge + Basically , A complete rebuild is required at a Starbase in the absence of Romulan Parts.

+ Tyrel + Warp Drive repairs continue. Those are looking better than the cloaking Device sir. No Romulan parts required.

I am not 100% on the exact thing...but we were engaged and did what had to be done to defend ourselves.

::picks up hypospray and readies it for blood test, to McFly:: Sir, I will administer the blood test first so that the security officers can attend to their other duties.

::watching Tevek do the test::

::Enters Sickbay and walks to the group:: How is he doing?

::lets his head rest on the stretcher; sighs:: My first big mission out after two years and I loose the PK module, I get myself kidnapped and the ship beat up.

Hello Erich, I finished debriefing the Bridge on the Cloaking Device.

::McFly's blood appears to still be blood. Sets down vial and begins operating the biobed scans::

::Pulls out the Data crystal::: I believe I have the location to the PK Module or it could be the way to spain

::tries to sit up without screaming:: But........ Oh my god I just felt bones rub together. ::looks at Tevek:: That can be fixed right?

Yes, I have been putting in requests for the next starbase visit, but we have to get back first.

And I am telling you Chief, the damage is the Romulan derived components of the cloak. It cannot work without those parts. Replicating them will not produce a desired result from what I have .....:: listens to the hail ::
