::Sylfaen:: I'm thinking that we need to do a more detailed examination of the caves from where we did the initial survey. Maybe there's something there of use. If this planet was once inhabited we might find remains or even DNA among things.

:: to Dr. Pavilion :: "How far back are we thinking?

Previous studies have a fairly complete history of the geology of the planet for several million years.

::preparing medical for the impending evacuation efforts::

"The net has something about a dome? We not out of danger?"

::looking at the map of the caves and points:: This first cavern here should do for now.

Dome? I think we are.

Do you think we missed something on our previous exploration?

At least here. There's still those stuck in the danger areas we gotta worry about.

I'm not sure. At this point anything is possible. Like you said, the studies completed give us a history of the geology. What about the flora and fauna, etc.

Yeah, that would be nice. But it's ok. It is what it is.

What we know is a steady progression of evolution within the given record.

It's possible there was a complete sterilization event of the planet and life managed to start completely over.

"So we are thinking really old."

It would seem so.

There have been times in Earth's history where a virus was found in remote areas that had been there for million's of years. Who's to say that there's something like that here?

Okay, let's gear up for a deep dive into these caves. We will likely go deep enough that environmental gear will be required.

"I can plan a few things on the engineering side, though this could be a medical issue."

"Captain, I know my folks are en route to this planet, but won't get here for another week."

I was planning on a full medical sweep to figure out what could be in there.

All right, we should have everything we need to handle the evacuees once they arrive in the safe zone.

::Nijil:: I would send word that they should stay in orbit when they arrive and possibly may need to help with evacuations.

If these beings have waiting millions of years to return, maybe we'll get lucky and they'll take a couple thousand more before making their next move. But just in case, let's get a move on.

They're already with the others who have been evacuated out to the perimeter.

We can't just send them unattended to the Federation colony or back to the Freya.

I'll be over in medical getting everything that I need, as well as recalling the necessary staff as well.

I need to find an EV suit in my size. I know I had one prepared at somepoint. Now where did I put that.
