Captain, I have a response from the void. It's a set of binary number, as well as matching set of base-5 numbers. Running the translation now.

ACTION: Along the retreating edge. the reclaimed ground.... is black and twisted. The grass has died, rocks have cracked and crumbled, and the ground itself seems to be more akin to ash.

That looks like anything but good.

ACTION: Another signal from within the field. With the latest codes the computers decipher this into a 3D image of a tall being, 3 meters in height, roughly humanoid, hairless, and skin that seemed to change in color and texture.

Ooh. I hope they can get something useful out of it.

ACTION: Then, the image moves, looking around for a moment before raising it's arms upward, it's skin going to a deep red hue and forming a rough spikey texture.
