No such luck

Andrea considered Queen Alanda and felt her heart sink slowly. The Matriarch had just asked her what she and her crew were really doing there in her kingdom. Andrea would have liked nothing more than to just come out and tell her the truth. However, obviously she knew she could not do that. Her only option was to continue to stall.

Scanning her memory now, the ships counselor recalled her training at Starfleet. In her opinion, her observation of this queens behaviour was not much different than that of the Arcadia crew. Sure, there were notable cultural differences, but no matter how you slice it, human behaviour is human behaviour. And if one can understand the "rules", certain behaviours can be predicted.

However, having knowledge of the rules did not help to prepare Andrea for the Queens persistant questioning. She felt herself almost leaning back under the weight of the Queens pressure. Oh, how she now wished for the good old days when her only responsibility on the Arcadia was navigation.

Ensign Knlwtchr took a step back and innocently raised a splayed hand to her chest. She lowered her head and kept her eyes on the target, batting her eyes in an attempt to look surprised. She could tell that the Queen was not buying it. It didnt matter, though. Soon, the ships counselor would wake up screaming in her quarters, having spared her slumber of anymore of this nightmare...

...anytime now...

...NOW would be good...

Bummer. Innitiate plan B...
