USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain McFly, Kansas Kenickie

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1256, STARDATE 52402.05 = starfleet

= The new Manticore-B was set to receive her new PK module after a lengthy shakedown cruise but the module was intercepted on its way to Starbase -REDACTED-. Manticore has been sent in to investigate. They were able to track the thieves to a junkyard where they came across a decent sized space station that turned out to be a ship. McFly and Pilot went inside and found the module only to be discovered by the thieves. After a firefight Pilot was jettisoned off the station in his shuttle and McFly was captured. They continued their pursuit of the thieves but soon the warp trail dissipated and stopped them in their tracks. They returned to the junkyard to find any information and discovered a recorded communication by none other than our grotesque Ferengi, Mork. Meanwhile, Kansas has been reassigned to Presidential security and during a diplomatic conference on the moon where she thwarted an assassination attempt. Back on Earth she was sent a weird message simply containing three pictures from her brother. She learned a Vorta surgically altered themselves and snuck in as the shooter whose body has disappeared from the morgue. She's now on a quest to gain more information from someone who is not going to be so cooperative. Faldek and Gila are now a year into an undercover assignment on Cardassia. The purpose of which the crew has not been notified of. They've met up with Edvenent to search for -REDACTED-. However, Cardassian command has seen fit for them to be sent to new assignments disrupting their undercover mission. Faldek is on a new Dominion shipyard where after some leg work, he discovered a brand new, and devastating, Dominion ship. However he was caught and sent back to Cardassia where he's set to have a meeting with Legate Damar. Gila is at an outpost turned medical facility where she has gained the trust of a young Jem'Hadar who she is using for information about a secret training program. And Edvenent is in Cardassia's main military intelligence complex where he just learned about a "project nebula". = starfleet

I only did so because during my investigation I had a feeling that Dal Madred had been acting suspiciously to me, upon searching his office I found his personal access codes on an unsecured PADD, which allowed me to gain access into the secure area, so I figured since I was there I might as well see what was going on. With my office I am supposed to have unrestricted access to all areas of any Cardassian military facility.

My second idea is to call Admiral Jaffee and, I believe the expression is 'phone a friend'? My third idea... Kansas taught me how to access some kind of forum system for bounty hunters and the like. Well, she didn't mean to tell me, but she didn't lock her console, either. Anyway, I could post smething there, either looking for info, or selling some prisoners we make up. But, first, lets just go back to his house and knock on the front door. That's my first plan.

Yes, Cardassian facilities. That was a Dominion facility. You illegally searched through the office of a station commander, stole his access code and trespassed into a highly classified Dominion lab.

I was denied access by Cardassian personnel. I do not recall being approached by anyone from the Dominion. Even if I had been denied by Jem'Hadar I probably wouldn't have paid them any mind because they are an inferior species. They should be under our command.

We are being presumptious of course that Mork is the individual behind the theft...someone could be trying to throw us off.

Commander, even if Mork wanted to convert a PK into some sort of energy source for a new lair..It is my opinion he would be in over his head. He would need Federation personnel....to even attempt something so risky.
