USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain McFly, Kansas Kenickie

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1245, STARDATE 52311.13 = starfleet

= Manticore has been sent to Starbase 23 near the Romulan neutral zone to confirm a new weapon designed against the Changelings. Along the way, they received a distress call, the sender of which claims to be the son of Captain McFly and Commander Kenickie but DNA tests conclude that Erich is the real father. He does, however, bring warnings about the future. McFly decides to cautiously continue with the mission along with calling for fleet backup. Upon arrival to the station, an away team met with the woman leading the project, Dr Moira Taggert. She performed a weapons test on a compound approximating Changeling physiology. And then suddenly, Romulans! They planned to destroy the station, saying it had been taken over by Changelings. McFly was able to suspend their attack with the condition they root out any Changelings on board. They found one, the scientist Dr Moira Taggert. And soon after, they found more... a lot more. Two Jem'Hadar ships dropped out of warp, destroyed the two Romulan ships and then critically damaged Manticore forcing them to limp away towards a nearby planet and crash landing to avoid complete destruction. Kansas and Nathan take matters into their own hands and leave to destroy the station. Faldek and bren followed after them. They succeed. The station is destroyed, the future is changed, and Nathan no longer exists. The team returns to the planet where they destroyed the two Jem'Hadar ships that have been terrorizing the crew. A day and a half passes while the crew holds off the remaining Jem'Hadar ground soldiers and wait for rescue. = starfleet

Just popping out of nowhere then bo... ::sniffs the air, then lets out a low annoyed Klingonic growl::

::hears Tevek:: If we stay any longer, maybe we can form a team to search the Manticore for any more supplies?

:: Hears E.J.'s growl, getting up off the rock :: E.J., what is it?

:::Hears EJ, pulls phaser out:::

Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer.

:: Holsters his phaser and grabs a rifle on the way out of the cave ::

::looks back at Faldek:: I'll try not to, but I am sniffing out some Jem Hadars.

Pilot thinks he smells something, so he and Harnett went to take a look. I have not seen or heard anything. I told them not to stray too far.

::crouches a bit with the cave wall to his back for mental comfort as well as physical, keeping the little phaser ready, pointed at the ground, and staring in the direction of the entrance::

::waves to Harnett:: Let's continue. If I find anything I'll report first and engage last. If permitted.

The man's got a good nose. Hopefully it was nothing.

I'm willing to bet they're running low on white and will be making a final push soon.

::gives the doctors space to work on Calli and walks over to where Violet and Erich was::

I'm sure we can expect them to be extra aggressive when they need a fix.

::she had a good vantage point of the front from where she was, looking at the cave entrance as she leans on a rock wall::

::runs another scan of Callista with medical tricorder and reviews the results::

::take his hand phaser out as they continue through the forest not paying attention to the distance::

::gets off the uncomfortable rock wall and sits next to Violet::

:: Follows along, pulling his hand phaser as he slung his rifle over his shoulder :: (w) Anything?

::yawns as she hasn’t slept much since they’ve been in the cave::

I doubt you’d be able to much with that staff against a Jem’Haddar soldier sadly.

ACTION> TWO PURPLE ENERGY BEAMS EMIT FROM THE FOREST AND FLY TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE CAVE

:: Makes his way around the tree trunk, phaser gripped tightly as he watched E.J. slice at the Jem'Hadar ::

::closes his eyes and listens, like one of KK's training holos taught him::

::didn't hear it due to the weapons fire, but pulls a photon grenade and lobs it towards the hole at the rear::

ACTION> A JEM'HADAR DECLOAKS BEHIND ONE OF THE TWO SECURITY OFFICERS WITH FALDEK AND SLICES THEIR THROAT

::with faldek:: ::falls and dies::

::sees Kansas on the ground out of the corner of his eye::

::with Faldek:: Ah!!! ::fires at the Jem Hadar::

::hears the security officer die, pulls out his dagger and instinctively throws it at the Jem'Hadar::

::ducks behind the rock and calls out to her:: Kansas! Are you alright?

+COM+ Commander Kenickie is down!

::Coughs:: I don't know

::Sees KK fall, bleeding and rushes over to her with medkit::

ACTION> FALDEK'S KNIFE BREACHES THE SOLDIERS SHOULDER; HE STUMBLES BACK INTO THE WALL; HE PULLS IT OUT AND PROCEEDS TO CHARGE AT FALDEK

((Not real sure where we are all at, how big the cave is... if Bren should be firing his phaser, he will be firing his phaser))

((Oh these those new Jem Hadars!!))

::with Faldek:: ::continues to fire his Phaser::

::raises the rifle and uses the butt of it to smash the Jammies face::

:::Grabs for her phaser:: Which way should I shoot

((It's a decent sized cave that can hold a couple hundred people; if you want to fire your weapon out there please, we could use the help))

::reaches KK and opens up tricorder::

::fires her phaser towards the Jem’Haddar::

::strikes at the Jem Hadar with his mek'leth::

ACTION> SOMETHING STATICY CAN BE HEARD COMING OVER THE COMM BADGES

:::Has blood in her eyes:: I think I'm blind

::Takes several large steps away from the small huddled mass he organized, closes his eyes, listens, and fires a few pulses::

::the photon grenade detonates at the new rear cave entrance::

::hears something from her comm badge, taps it:: hello?

:: grabs Erich's phaser :: "I have learned these."

::standing near McFly to the other SOs:: Cover fire so we can get to the Commander!

:: Raised an eyebrow at the static on the comm badge, taking a shot at the Jem'Hadar when he got a clear shot ::

:: Rushes to help Harnett and Co. with the J'H. ::

::begins applying dermal regenerator to KK's wounds::

::scoots forward toward the fighting, occasionally firing off the phaser::

::others:: ::begin providing cover fire so we can get to KK::

:::To Tevek::: Don't leave me helpless

::stays low as she can and fire some shots at the jem’Haddar, staying in the defensive cluster::

:: Methodically takes her first shot at the enemy ::

::stays close by to Violet, also firing more shots::

::in a struggle with the wounded Jem'Hadar, gets the upper hand and proceeds to snap his neck::

::Alternates his firing with Violet and Annika for even coverage::

The reception isn’t great in these caves but I think help has arrived?

ACTION> HE THEN WHIPS AROUND AND GRABS PILOT BY THE NECK AND THROWS HIM INTO A TREE; HE THEN CHARGES AT HARNETT

Those grey uniforms were war time uniforms due to the Jem Hadar learning the colors and their division meanings.

So be thinking about what your characters will be doing in those two years. I mean you don't have to get detailed with it if you don't want to but there will be a two year gap we won't have touched these guys.

Alright, if nothing else then Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, Nephew. They're a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You don't believe me? Look at those faces. Look in their eyes... DISMISSED!!!
