About as good as we can get. Sensors still working at about 20% range.

I think everyone else is at that portal. I don’t know where it is though.

While we seem secure here, I'd almost feel better if we had company. Not seeing any clue what was causing those pulses.

::back to scanning the horizon::

:: Hears a final click and a powering up whine :: "There we go."

::pulls out her tricorder out and scans for any of the refugees::

:: Logs into the system :: "Doing system checks. How's it look out there captain?"

::continues monitoring::

::looking to the north, sometype of light and/or movement barely visible::

"Aye.. first activation in five minutes."

::moves over to the captain and looks in the same direction::

:: Runs a simulation of the power up sequence. ::

We have incoming, airborne. Security, stand ready north perimeter.

"Crap...speeding this along."

ACTION> A ball of light can now be seen zipping 10 meters over the surface, heading out way.

"Second test of the power system in the green."

"Charging the capacitor."

::seeing the ball of light:: Ummm.... that doesn't look good

We have less than a minute before that thing is on top of us.

ACTION> The light banks to the right and zips around us, then turns again in a circling pattern.

::watches the light and starts scanning::

Is anyone getting a scan on that?

"Capactor is still charging. All systems show in the green."

ACTION> The light now rises and hold position over us

"Five minutes before we can activate Captain."

As soon as it does, I want someone through the portal to report back. And, if that thing up there does anything we all fall back through it as well.

::still scanning the light::

"Setting up security measures."

::Mimi:: That doesn't look like any tech the Romulans would have.

"Three minutes."

ACTION> One of the security officers points out 3 more objects incoming from the north.

Well, this is turning into .... something.

"Two minutes." :: The capacitor hums much like it does on the other side ::

"What does it look like? I'm busy watching the portal."

::still scanning, trying to figure out the light::

"Security measures in place."

Anytime now.

"Three, two...one. Portal activated!"

Get the runner through.

"Runner away."

ACTION> The three additional lights also bank and begin circling.

"Seems our time has ran out. Let's go."

Well, hopefully someone is just curious.

"Portal stability holding."

:: Seals and secures the control systems :: "Shall we captain?" :: gestures to the portal opening ::

ACTION> The first light suddenly zips downward and through the portal.

Oh great....

::looks at sensors:: Portal's working.
