USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain McFly, Kansas Kenickie

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1244, STARDATE 52311.06 = starfleet

= Manticore has been sent to Starbase 23 near the Romulan neutral zone to confirm a new weapon designed against the Changelings. Along the way, they received a distress call, the sender of which claims to be the son of Captain McFly and Commander Kenickie but DNA tests conclude that Erich is the real father. He does, however, bring warnings about the future. McFly decides to cautiously continue with the mission along with calling for fleet backup. Upon arrival to the station, an away team met with the woman leading the project, Dr Moira Taggert. She performed a weapons test on a compound approximating Changeling physiology. And then suddenly, Romulans! They planned to destroy the station, saying it had been taken over by Changelings. McFly was able to suspend their attack with the condition they root out any Changelings on board. They found one, the scientist Dr Moira Taggert. And soon after, they found more... a lot more. Kansas and Nathan tried to beam back the away team and destroy the station themselves. But were foiled by Matt. Two Jem'Hadar ships dropped out of warp, destroyed the two Romulan ships and then critically damaged Manticore forcing them to limp away towards a nearby planet and crash landing to avoid complete destruction. Kansas and Nathan take matters into their own hands and leave to destroy the station. Faldek and bren followed after them with the knowledge of using Moira Taggerts own weapon against them. They succeed. The station is destroyed, the future is changed, and Nathan no longer exists. = starfleet

ACTION> THREE JEM'HADAR ARE STILL ON THE GROUND ATTACKING FROM BEHIND A LINE OF TREES; THE SHIP THAT STAYED BEHIND IS STILL PATROLLING THE AREA; EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THEY ATTACK THE CAVES FROM OVERHEAD

Those trees are at a weird angle, something very big shoved them around

Sensors are showing weapons fire a bit away from the ship. Someone's alive, at least.... maybe a big phaser canon? I'd almost suspect it were Kansas if she weren't here ::smiles lightly::

ACTION> THE SECOND JEM'HADAR SHIP ATTACKING THE CAVES COMES AROUND FROM BEHIND THE CHIMERA AND UNLOADS A BARRAGE OF WEAPONS FIRE ON THE SHIP

ACTION> THE JEM'HADAR SHIP TRIES TO MANEUVER OUT OF THE FIRE BUT IT GETS MOST OF IT. THEY CIRCLE BACK AROUND FOR ANOTHER ATTACK ON THE CHIMERA

Well we have to worry about this big ass fighter at the moment.

ACTION> THE CHIMERA ZIPS AROUND IN A 180 AND FIRES ON THE BUG SHIP. THEY MAKE DIRECT CONTACT THEN QUICKLY FLY UP BEFORE CRASHING INTO IT. THE JEM'HADAR'S SHIELDS ONLY TAKE MODERATE DAMAGE.

ACTION> THE CHIMERA CONTINUES TO SWING AROUND THE JEM'HADAR BUG. IT FIRES DIRECTLY ON THE SHIELDS BUT IS PRODUCING LITTLE DAMAGE. THE BUG IS JUST AS MANEUVERABLE, THOUGH, AND IS ABLE TO QUICKLY MATCH THE CHIMERA'S FLIGHT PATTERN.

::stays with Calli, looks around her surroundings::

+McFly+ Chimera is what may have caused the explosions! She's engaged in battle as we speak.

Might have better luck if you just give Kansas a rifle and open the back hatch

ACTION> THE BUG GETS A FEW GOOD HITS IN CAUSING THE CHIMERA TO POP OFF ITS COURSE A LITTLE INSIDE THE PLANET'S ATMOSPHERE

Not seeing any tech but it has to be there for both of them. I hope.

Perhaps we could program the Chimera to collide with their ship and we 'pop the chute' as they say in the holos?
