USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain McFly, Kansas Kenickie

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1243, STARDATE 52310.30 = starfleet

= Manticore has been sent to Starbase 23 near the Romulan neutral zone to confirm a new weapon designed against the Changelings. Along the way, they received a distress call, the sender of which claims to be the son of Captain McFly and Commander Kenickie but DNA tests conclude that Erich is the real father. He does, however, bring warnings about the future. McFly decides to cautiously continue with the mission along with calling for fleet backup. Upon arrival to the station, an away team met with the woman leading the project, Dr Moira Taggert. She performed a weapons test on a compound approximating Changeling physiology. And then suddenly, Romulans! They planned to destroy the station, saying it had been taken over by Changelings. McFly was able to suspend their attack with the condition they root out any Changelings on board. They found one, the scientist Dr Moira Taggert. And soon after, they found more... a lot more. Kansas and Nathan tried to beam back the away team and destroy the station themselves. But were foiled by Matt. Two Jem'Hadar ships dropped out of warp, destroyed the two Romulan ships and then critically damaged Manticore forcing them to limp away towards a nearby planet and crash landing to avoid complete destruction. Kansas and Nathan take matters into their own hands and leave to destroy the station. Faldek and Bren followed after them with the knowledge of using Moira Taggert's own weapon against them. = starfleet

We're gonna fly into one of the shuttlebays and land. Go on foot, safer than the Chimera loitering and being a sitting duck.

ACTION> THE JEM'HADAR SHIP THAT STAYED BEHIND AT THE PLANET WHERE MANTICORE CRASHED TURNS ITS ATTENTION AWAY FROM THE SHIP AND TOWARDS THE PATH THE CREW TOOK AS THEY JOURNEYED AWAY; IT BEGINS FIRING ON THE GROUND; THE DISRUPTOR BOLTS RIP THROUGH THE DENSE TREES AND EXPLODE INTO THE DIRT; AND THE BOLTS ARE GETTING CLOSER

::does some fancy maneuvers and loops into one of the shuttlebays::

::raises eyebrow at Callista's comment, and scans her again as her eyes close::

It was instinctive since you were on the ground.

::runs over to check on anyone he can see on the ground; some are dead but some are just in shock and he helps them to their feet and tells them to follow Pilot's signal::

Yessir ::gets over to the weapon, and plants a hexagonal device onto the side. He starts tapping buttons on it, and on his tricorder. Little triangular panels hinge off the hexagon and attach, and start flicking lights::

I hope they can regenerate those wounds on your face. If not, you can rock that scar

::All six panels turn solid white, and a god awful loud sound comes from the weapon, like a boulder through a roof. The main hexagonal body of the device is now flat, flush with the surface of the weapon:: OK THE FUSE IS LIT!

ACTION> THE CHIMERA POSITIONS HERSELF FOR WARP; JUST AS THE NACELLES BEGIN TO GLOW THE STATION ERUPTS IN A BRILLIANT WHITE LIGHT; CHIMERA LEAPS INTO SUBSPACE AND THE STATION IS ERRADICATED
