USS Manticore - Mondays 10 ET - Command Staff: Captain McFly, Kansas Kenickie

= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1241, STARDATE 52310.16 = starfleet

= Manticore has been sent to Starbase 23 near the Romulan neutral zone to confirm a new weapon designed against the Changelings. Along the way, they received a distress call, the sender of which claims to be the son of Captain McFly and Commander Kenickie but DNA tests conclude that Erich is the real father. He does, however, bring warnings about the future. McFly decides to cautiously continue with the mission along with calling for fleet backup. Upon arrival to the station, an away team met with the woman leading the project, Dr Moira Taggert. She performed a weapons test on a compound approximating Changeling physiology. And then suddenly, Romulans! They planned to destroy the station, saying it had been taken over by Changelings. McFly was able to suspend their attack with the condition they root out any Changelings on board. They found one, the scientist Dr Moira Taggert. And soon after, they found more... a lot more. Kansas and Nathan tried to beam back the away team and destroy the station themselves. But were foiled by Matt. Now, two Jem'Hadar ships have dropped out of warp and the Changelings on the station have decided it's time to reveal themselves. = starfleet

::turns and looks at the screen seeing the romulan ships fighting with Jem'Hadar bugs::

::working on readying the other biobeds, glances over at the one Callista is on:: Lieutenant?

::notices the red alert and checks to see if the doors are still locked::

My head hurts.....Is the ship in danger?

::taps on his console attempting to get us set up to move the hell out of the way::

ACTION> A CHANGELING POSING AS AN OFFICER RUNS INTO PILOT; IMMEDIATELY HE SMIRKS AT EJ THEN CHANGES HIS HAND INTO A LIQUID TENTACLE AND GRABS AHOLD OF EJ'S LEG HOLDING HIM UPSIDEDOWN

::walks over to Callista's bed:: It is only logical that your head hurts, you did suffer from a concussion. I do not know the exact nature of the ship's danger, but I assume it exists since the red alert has been activated.

Kahlesss!!! ::reaches for his mek'leth, then slices the tentacle::

::spots a foot, then approaches faster, seeing Jaenke laying on the floor unconscious:: Pilot!

:: Nearly slides past the doorway, running inside, he flips open the isoliniear chip panel, reaching in and grabbing the chips from behind it::

ACTION> THE CHANGELING REELS BACK BUT THE SEVERED PIECE SLIDES BACK TO HIM

::looks at the readings on Callista's biobed, then prepares a hypospray for her pain::

::readies his phaser, aiming at the changeling, fires::

::gets up off of the ground:: Thank you for the assist. And with that we've overstayed our welcome.

:: Quickly inserts the chips back into the panel, tapping a few commands into the LCARS panel next to it, then shutting the panel :: + Bridge + Impulse and thruster controls restored!

:: her hand reaches for her face and feels something on her face...some sort of plastic plate over her recovering wounds ::

+Faldek+ Commander, stand by for beaming. We need to get out of here.

::leads a small charge of Changelings in Faldek's direction::

::moves us away from the Jem hadar but staying within transporter range::
