"I am not sure I want to be the first through this, but the test are coming back within tolerances."

"Well, to initialize the portal's creation we have to use a capacitor, or a superconducting capacitor. So we charge it up, then the opening is created, then it takes much less energy to maintain."

The first person through would need to be ready to help build the return portal for them to get back. It's not going to be a quick test trip.

As long as we're not passing into solid rock or too high off the ground.

::yawns and puts down her PADD::

::gets up and heads out of her office and takes a walk around::

"A lobby with children. And not just any, but Annisha and Alexis. I suspect that little dark-haired one did it, but I don't know how." :: her tail flicked in mild annoyance ::

Probably feels far longer to them. Any of us would know what happened. They don't.

I looked like they were prepared to be on their own for awhile. As long as their provisions made it across with them, I think they will be okay.

I do hope so.

I assume you mean Annisha? I don’t think Alexis has any technical expertise on networking holographic programs.

"We should get this operational as soon as possible...and I may be the only one to build it. At least you can send supplies through and perhaps communications."

Still though, I hope they’re settling into the Federation outpost nicely.

"Yeaah. I nice Federation technician sent me back."

Awfully good of them.

"I think they showed me off like their pet, though I suppose I look like a random domesticated feline."

"So, how many engineers do we need, and to we need others to protect us?"

As many engineers as needed and security will be close by. Just in case something can come through to this side, we need to be ready.

:: Muuhi searches her surroundings :: "The other doctor is not here?"

:: Gives Jylliene a look of concern :: "The portal could take a good part of a day to build."

"Oh, I can't do that exactly."

I'd imagine. You're capable, though.

Unless we put in holo-emitters throughout the outpost

"Well, this does not need an athletics check to perform."

Take the time needed.

"I have heard that possible, but existence is preferred to non. I have a program to occupy my time if I want. It's far bigger than any of the colonies."

Because of your home world?

"I shall prepare a list of items to transport through. I am confident we can establish a form of communication. I suspect it will be only low-bandwidth applications like audio."

::finishes her walk and comes back to medical::

"What the real me did was compress a lot of data into Niji's head when he was with me to preserve our memories. Luckily your technology is advanced enough to parse and recreate the data...I put in there."

Throwing a data padd through might be an adequate start.

"We can let them know what we are planning."

:: Looks down at his padd :: "Contruction of initial parts are already underway. I can set the structure the portal sits in."

"I feel bad for what the real me did, but the end results was worth it." :: Thinks :: "Ends justifying the means he once told me."

I suppose that makes sense. I’m just glad you both seem to be ok

I have crews clearing the area for the portal. I do want it a small distance from the colony. It is designated on the maps as Sight Patmos.

"I suppose. I experience a real time loss."

"Interesting. I have not heard of that before. What are we naming the other?"

::nods:: Yeah, that’s true.

::walks up to Dacia and Muuhi:: So what have I missed

Let's get there first, then we can name it.

Ahh, not much. Pretty uneventful in sickbay.

"Speaking of what Muuhi did to Niji while he was a guest in our time."

I do recall he expertly braided Alexis’ and Annisha’s hair.
