mimipavilion: ::in medical, checking over the patients::

Amanda Davis PhD: ::In her office:::

Dacia Sandero: ::helps checks on the patients as well::

CdrBrown: ::at his station, drinking his coffee... grateful that the fresh coffee beans made it in on the last supply run::

Chirakis: ::in her office, door open, checking over information and thinking of Starfleet Command and what they did to Cdr Coleridge::

Chirakis: ::tossing things aside, she stretches to get out of the office:::

CdrBrown: ::analyzes the sensor data, the perimeter remains secured::

Chirakis: :::coffee seems to get her going this morning:::

Chirakis: ::looks around for Cayne, wondering where he is:::

mimipavilion: ::makes notes in their files and leaves the trauma unit::

Amanda Davis PhD: ::exiting her office, looking for Mimi:::

Dacia Sandero: ::writing up a report::

mimipavilion: ::making her way to her office::

CdrBrown: ::sips more coffee, reading the various station hourly reports, wondering if he should have just been a Dentist::

Amanda Davis PhD: ::turns::: Dr Pavilion?

mimipavilion: ::hears Amanda and turns:: Yes.

Amanda Davis PhD: ::on approach:: How are the men in the trauma unit?

mimipavilion: They're on the mend.

Amanda Davis PhD: ::concerned:: How long should it take for them to get well?

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::in a science lab, watching a large holo-display running simulations on asteroid formations::

Chirakis: ::can't help wondering how Pine and Slym are::

Chirakis: :::begins to pace:::

mimipavilion: At least a week minimum for the bruising and the ribs and nose to set securely and be at least half way healed.

Amanda Davis PhD: :::slight nod::

Amanda Davis PhD: ::sigh::

Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: at his console ::

mimipavilion: ::hears the sigh:: What's wrong?

Amanda Davis PhD: It's just....

mimipavilion: Amanda...

Amanda Davis PhD: It's just that they could have been killed.

Amanda Davis PhD: And they work so hard.

mimipavilion: Luckily security got there when they did.

Chirakis: :::sits at the command station to page through information::

Amanda Davis PhD: Oh, if it weren't for security they'd be....

mimipavilion: In our morgue.

CdrBrown: ::receives a shipment update from the Dennyson, delayed 2 days due to particle wave making warp field unstable::

Amanda Davis PhD: ::another sigh:: Well, I'm going to put everything aside and get some tea. Excuse me.

CdrBrown: ::turns to Chirakis:: Capt?

mimipavilion: ::nods and goes to her office::

Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: looks ::

Chirakis: :::pulls information and turns to him::: Yes, Commander?

Chirakis: ::notes the information from science::::

CdrBrown: Just a heads up, looks like a small particle wave is disrupting warp fields for the cargo ships coming in. The Dennyson was still 5 days out, now she will be a full week, reroutes around the anomaly will only add 15 hours going forward.

Chirakis: :::swivels to a stand:: The anomaly?

Nijil tr'Korjata: :: wondering if he went back to work too soon. He's beginning to see things. ::

CdrBrown: Whatever the cause of the disruptions to the warp fields is. Looks like a temporary wave. Cargo ships with weaker warp drives are susceptible to these things, while standard starships have the power to maintain their fields

Chirakis: Waves... ::curious::

Nijil tr'Korjata: A natural occurrence?

Chirakis: +com+ Lt Dran, to CnC.

Tae'Lynn Dran: +CnC+ On my way.

CdrBrown: typically a natural occurrence, so far as we know. The next few ships will route around the charted position and the next Federation ship to pass through will see if it still presents a hazard to navigation.

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::saves the simulation and heads out::

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::exits TL onto CnC::

Chirakis: How could it be a natural occurrence moving in our direction?

Nijil tr'Korjata: :: does not even remember arriving in CnC, but there he was ::

Chirakis: ::looks up:: Commander Brown, tell Lt Dran what you just told me.

CdrBrown: ::pulls up the Dennyson's report on to the main viewer::

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::Steps over and looks at the info::

Nijil tr'Korjata: Hope this was not my friends in the past.

CdrBrown: The cargo ship Dennyson, still 5 days out, encountered a wave that disrupted the warp field, slowing them to impulse power. They expect it to take two days before they can clear and get back up to speed.

Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: mutters :: friends...

Amanda Davis PhD: :::putting aside her coffee to make her rounds:::

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::Nijil:: I have a theory about that I've actually been wanting to discuss with you.

Nijil tr'Korjata: Oh? I've not heard from them since I was brought back.

Tae'Lynn Dran: ::Brown:: Readings look within normal for this sector. Not that his sector is typical.

Tae'Lynn Dran: The movement pattern is a little off. I wonder if our shipping lanes are changing the existing currents.

CdrBrown: ships with lesser warp drives can encounter these anomalies, waves, whatever you want to call it, and have to get by on impulse, meanwhile, stronger vessels are able to maintain their warp fields and power through with only slight turbulence felt if anything.

Dacia Sandero: ::checks in on other things and patients around sickbay::

CdrBrown: ::pulls up the shipping routes, including course changes around significant astronomical bodies::

Tae'Lynn Dran: Yes, if the wave reaches us we'd probably not even notice unless we try taking the station to warp.

Nijil tr'Korjata: I spent too many months dealing with temporal theories, wormholes...time.

CdrBrown: Lt, what about disruptions to systems? comms?

Chirakis: ...which means there is not a danger to Aegis?

Tae'Lynn Dran: Might want to up the power to containment fields and computers.

Tae'Lynn Dran: It could have some effect on systems that rely on low powered warp fields.

Nijil tr'Korjata: Would have to be many cochranes above what we are seeing.

Nijil tr'Korjata: The core is the most vulnerable system.

Chirakis: Okay.... pause for a moment and tell me…  what is the most important problem?

CdrBrown: From an Ops and Logistics standpoint, shipments will take a little bit longer.

mimipavilion: ::dealing with reports::

Chirakis: ::nod::: Continue

Nijil tr'Korjata: From the engineering standpoint protecting the core is the most critical.

Chirakis: ::to Nijil:: The core of what?

Nijil tr'Korjata: The computer core man we just refer to it as the core.

Nijil tr'Korjata: Ma'am...

Tae'Lynn Dran: Yes, FTL processors in the computers would be the most effected.

Chirakis: And what will these things mean if anything happens?

Tae'Lynn Dran: I think we need more data to forecast if this will be a threat or not.

Nijil tr'Korjata: Send in the probes...

CdrBrown: The wave is 5 days away at warp 6.5

Cdr Wyatt Cayne: I'll make the necessary preparations...

Tae'Lynn Dran: We should be able to calculate if it is increasing in power in that time.

Chirakis: ....and we're all thinking about the same things?

CdrBrown: Its hard to judge if the speed is increasing. We will need more data.

Amanda Davis PhD: ::sits next to the parents of the newborn:::

Nijil tr'Korjata: Being at the bulk of our data will come in the middle of the night?

CdrBrown: And we will need to see if the wave follows the course changes of the shipping route or if it remains on a straight path.

Chirakis: And is it a danger to shipping or to the station?

mimipavilion: ::to self in office:: Why is it always reports?

CdrBrown: Shipping yes. Station will depend on the strength if/when it reaches here.

Tae'Lynn Dran: 24 hours we should have the data we need.

Chirakis: I see...

CdrBrown: Starfleet is already putting out the advisory for shipping vessels, the modified route will add some time for future ships, but not the full 2 days that the Dennyson will experience.

Nijil tr'Korjata: You can think of us as the weatherman people.

Nijil tr'Korjata: I'll make a nice presentation.

Chirakis: Very well. Put yourselves together, watch, and plan.

CdrBrown: ::nods:: yes ma'am.

Tae'Lynn Dran: Understood.

Chirakis: Forget the presentation. Focus on what might happen.

Chirakis: Go to it.

Chirakis: I'll pull off extra personnel so you three can work on it.

Chirakis: Anything else?

Chirakis: Very well…

Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=

Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=

Chirakis: Now that is exciting, especially because your captain has no idea what you are talking about.

Nijil tr'Korjata: And here I was going to put that Praxis explosion in a PowerPoint

Chirakis: How much time should we take to work on this?

Nijil tr'Korjata: Two or three hours?

CdrBrown: 24 hours? gives us time to get data in from nearby sensor stations.

Nijil tr'Korjata: Or that

Chirakis: Very well. 24 hours it is.

Chirakis: Comments or questions?

Chirakis: Seeing none....

Chirakis: Crew dismissed. Be well. Be Safe. Don’t forget your towel.
